Jen Shah got into plenty of drama on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, as viewers watched her rant, cry, and shout at her fellow housewives over smelling like a hospital. By the end of the season, Jen was left to defend herself against claims of being aggressive towards the other women. However, with her husband Coach Sharrieff Shah's dedicated support for his dramatic wife, many fans are starting to call him out for catering to Jen's bratty ways.

Whether she was mad at Mary Cosby for saying she smelled like a hospital, or yelling at Meredith Marks for being friendly toward Mary, Jen appeared to find a way to always rub the other RHOSLC stars the wrong way. She got into it with Heather Gay and Whitney Rose after they told her rumors of other housewives saying they were scared of Jen. When reviewing the entire cast, there wasn't one person that Jen didn't get into a back and forth with. She even offended Meredith's son, Brooks, after accidentally flashing herself while at their home. With only one season down, Jen did a good job at becoming public enemy number one on the show.

At the RHOSLC reunion, Jen Shah went at it with the cast over the debate of whether or not she was aggressive. During an emotional showdown, the cameras showed Jen's husband Sharrieff Shah consoling her backstage despite her antics towards the other women. As a result, some viewers took to Reddit to address how "Coach Shah treats Jen more like a child rather than a wife." Specifically, the Redditor behind the thread raised attention to Coach's behavior at the reunion. "Even if he disagreed with Jen’s behavior the way he spoke to Mary/Robert was more like a parent," the fan claimed, before noting how off the couple's dynamic appears to them. "I find him condescending to her, even if he says nice things," they said. "Your wife is your partner... If you don’t like that behavior, don’t marry her."

Other viewers appeared to agree with that Redditor, pointing out how Coach Shah speaks to his wife. "He's probably used to having to teach and mold 18-21 year college kids all day," one person said. "I think it’s a combination of Jen acting like a child and him spending 99% of his time with young men where his function is being a surrogate dad," another person added. Jen has shared her emotion with her husband not being around when her father passed away, which is that something that she struggles to forgive him for. She has shared her mental health journey on the show and how much she depends on her husband for support.

While Real Housewives of Salt Lake City viewers were appreciative of Jen's honesty, they didn't feel it gave her a pass to act out against the other women. In one scene, she even threw water at the camera crew. With her fueling controversy in the premiere season, fans will be tuned in to see what she has in store for season 2.
