Jen Shah is gearing up to address her ongoing legal woes on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 2. With Jen being arrested in the middle of filming a scene for the upcoming season, viewers are expecting the RHOSLC star to speak candidly about her fraud and money laundering charges. Jen already faced backlash for her season 1 antics that include fights with every member of the cast and emotional rants in almost every episode. During the reunion, she was put in the hot seat and forced to address her on-air behavior. Now, however, she has even bigger fish to fry.

The standout star of RHOSLC season 1 has spent 2021 filming the second season of the show as a housewife. She's also spent a good part of this year appearing in court for alleged wire fraud and money laundering charges. The new Bravo star was in the middle of filming with housewives Heather Gay and Lisa Barlow when police arrived with handcuffs and took Jen into custody over her alleged involvement in a nationwide telemarketing scheme. Jen and her business partner Stuart Smith are accused of targeting unknowing victims through lead lists where they were sold services they never received. On the show, Jen boasted her glam lifestyle and need for assistants dubbed as her "Shah Squad." Alas, no one knew what Jen and her squad could have been really up to behind the scenes.

Now, with Jen Shah being locked in the middle of a serious legal war that could land her in prison for upwards of 20 years, sources say that she will be letting it all out in Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 2. “Jen didn’t hold back at all when talking about her legal issues on the show,” an insider told Hollywood Life. “She kept it very real and is maintaining her innocence to the ladies. She filmed full-time and this season will focus heavily on Jen.” The cast is also treading lightly with addressing Jen's legal matters on-air due to how clueless they are about the alleged criminal activity Jen is accused of. The source explained, “The ladies really had no idea. They found out when the rest of the world did and were shocked."

When it comes to the RHOSLC cast and how they're handling Jen's legal matters, Heather, Lisa, Mary Cosby, and Whitney Rose don't want to burn any bridges too soon. "They feel she should be treated like anyone is in court which is innocent until proven otherwise," the insider explained. “They’re really hoping it’s not true, but they’re staying out of it and not discussing it past a surface level." With the ladies having much love for Jen and her family, the other housewives are being as supportive as they can without offending anyone. "Her friends are still talking to her and doing their best not to let this affect their friendship with her," the insider said. "They love Sherrief, her husband, and the boys are the nicest, most respectful guys."

The Real Housewives fanbase was blindsided by Jen's arrest earlier this year. While she isn't the first housewife to faces serious charges and even possible jail time, she is the first person ever to get arrested literally while filming the show. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is expected to air footage from Jen's arrest.
