Monique Samuels is opening up about her recent decision to quit The Real Housewives of Potomac. After three seasons on the show, fans were disappointed when Monique announced her exit following a dramatic reunion show taping. Now, she's sharing the events that led up to her untimely departure.

The RHOP reunion was one for the record books after Monique came with her book of receipts and issued out a scathing read against Gizelle Bryant. The read was one of the most infamous in housewives history and left Monique at odds with majority of the women on the show. She was upset due to a plot she heard some of the ladies on the show were allegedly conspiring against her and her marriage to Chris Samuels. The couple came to the reunion with a vengeance and made sure their voices were heard after a dramatic season. Monique had come to blows with Candiace Dillard that prevented her from filming with the ladies for the rest of the season. Between her feud with Candiace, her vendetta against the ladies she felt conspired against her, and Andy Cohen's seemingly bias approach to questioning her at the reunion, Monique announced her exit from the show after the third reunion show episode aired.

During a recent interview with All About The Tea, Monique went into more detail on why she removed herself from the show after three years. “I’m over the real hate that’s been happening behind the scenes and just being treated unfairly," she said. "Why is it that every season, I’m looked at as the one who has to be accountable? But then when I’m expecting to [receive] some accountability in my direction for things that have been done to me it’s like … crickets.” She went on to explain the final straw that led to her departure. “I sent an email asking to be released from my contract right after the conclusion of the reunion [on Sunday]," she admitted. "I was very disappointed because the one thing that I expected was for me and family to have vindication. When it came to the fight, we were sort of vindicated after episode 2 of the reunion because I had been saying the same story from day one and to actually have production back me in what I was saying transpired as far as how I perceived it was great."

In addition to all the shade from her cast mates, Monique said her family is off limits and the show allowed them to cross the line. "The other thing was my family dynamic," she shared. "That was something I always said doing this show: my family is off-limits, my marriage is off-limits. People can start rumors, that’s fine, but when you cross the line of involving innocent children that’s when I have a problem.” When it comes to if she'll ever return to RHOP, Monique says the ship has sailed. “I’m done y’all,” she declared. “You know what’s crazy … I was fine with the trainer rumor because it never brought up my child, but then once that got out, I had been holding on to that for two years and I was still able to put a smile on my face and do what I need to do for the sake of the show. There’s no coming back from that. You’ve crossed so many lines.”

Fans are wondering which of the housewives will return following dramatic season that had viewers on the edge of their seats. With Monique out, it's possible Candiace will decide to stay. But, only time will tell.
