Gizelle Bryant has been a staple of The Real Housewives of Potomac since its inception, and here's how she has finally become the show's antagonist. Gizelle has made a name for herself as a shady pot-stirrer throughout all six seasons of RHOP, but there have typically been other stars on the reality show who outdid the "Green Eye Bandit's" underhanded statements. Without a bigger antagonist to hide behind, and by making targets out of every Real Housewives of Potomac cast member, this is how Gizelle became season 6's ultimate villain.

Gizelle is no stranger to starting feuds with her Real Housewives of Potomac co-stars. Gizelle and fellow OG RHOP housewives Karen Huger have been frenemies since the first season. Whether she was mocking Karen and Ray's tax problems or concocting a plan to dress up as a delivery person to see if Karen was lying about living in her house, Gizelle has made a habit of taking jabs at Karen for many years. Although Karen has been the classic adversary for Gizelle, she's also made enemies with co-stars like Monique Samuels. When they first met on RHOP season 2, Gizelle was quick to make fun of Monique for not having a home in Potomac, only to learn that she actually has four homes in the area. Overall, Gizelle's RHOP season 6 shadiness is at an all-time high.

Typically, there have always been other Real Housewives of Potomac stars who acted as the main villains of a particular season. For a while, Ashley Darby's husband, Michael, was the key antagonist of Potomac. From cheating on Ashley to allegedly assaulting a cameraman, Michael has accumulated the most vitriol from the reality show's fanbase over the years. Additionally, Monique was the center of RHOP season 5's drama after she got into a physical altercation with Candiace Dillard-Bassett. During those seasons, Gizelle had been up to her usually tomfoolery, but Michael and Monique's scandalous actions always seemed to preoccupy fans' hatred. On RHOP season 6, however, Michael is mostly busy fathering a newborn, and Monique is no longer part of the cast. In the absence of the typical villains, Gizelle has stepped into the role of antagonist.

In addition to there being fewer competitors for the antagonistic role, Gizelle has been shadier than ever this season. Even her friend Candiace described Gizelle as "messy" during the group trip to Williamsburg. This trip solidified her as the season 6 villain as she made jabs at almost all of the Potomac cast, including her best friend, Robyn Dixon. First, Gizelle called out Wendy for becoming superficial after her plastic surgery. Gizelle also commented on Candiace's relationship with her husband, Chris, now that he's working for her. Gizelle explained that she's concerned Chris will be riding on Candiace's "coattails." Gizelle refused to speak to Karen as well, but that was no surprise. Alas, many fans were shocked when Gizelle was a bad friend to Robyn and told her to fix her life. Gizelle burned all of her bridges on RHOP season 6 and has no one to hide behind.

In the past, Gizelle has been a shady reality TV star, but she was never the series' "big bad." With the larger threats absent from the show and Gizelle making more judgmental comments than ever, "the word on the street" is that Gizelle is the new villain in town. While it may be a new look for her, The Real Housewives of Potomac's villain role suits Gizelle.
