Mia Thornton is hiring a new social media manager amid her Twitter feuds with her co-stars on The Real Housewives of Potomac. The show newcomer posted a job posting online announcing her search for someone who can help her "keep up" with all of the newfound attention coming her way. Her job posting comes days after she engaged in a messy Twitter battle with fellow newbie Askale Davis. It's also on the heels of her salacious tweets about Candiace Dillard and her husband Chris Bassett.
Despite it being her first season, Mia has kicked things off with a bang. She has engaged in spats with everyone except her friend Karen Huger, and she's not afraid to get her hands dirty. So far, after each episode airs, Mia takes to social media to further ignite the showdowns she engages in on the show. Mia has targeted mean tweets at Wendy Osefo, Candiace, Askale, and even Candiace's husband. But it looks like her latest social media war took things too far when her scarred relationship with her mother was referenced.
After virtually duking it out with Askale on Twitter, Mia followed up the next day with a job posting. "While I take full responsibility for the recent IG posts and tweets over the past few months, I want to inform you that I let go of my social media manager due to the nature and language of the captions and posts," Mia said in a statement posted on her Instagram (seen below). While noting how busy she is as a mother and businesswoman, Mia says she has no time to stay on top of her social media profiles and is therefore looking for a new social media manager. She ended by offering her "sincere apologies" for all the low blows she's been making in recent weeks.
This job posting came just one day after Mia and Askale got into it on Twitter. Mia actually started it by bringing up Askale living in a townhouse with her mother. However, Askale clapped back by saying that her mother lives with her to help take care of her grandchildren. It was a dig at Mia's troubled relationship with her own mother that's playing out on RHOP season 6. Prior to her Twitter war with Askale, Mia got into it with Candiace and Chris after she seemingly insinuated having a history with Chris at the old strip club where she worked. After Chris denied the claims, Mia made it seem as if she was just being playful and sarcastic. But now it looks like Mia is attempting to do some damage control and looking for someone who can help her "represent my brand and true self," as she said in the job posting.
Mia's latest job posting points to the notion that she is attempting to claim that someone else posted all of her mean tweets. While she took on the responsibility, firing her social media manager hints at underlying issues going on behind the scenes. Due to all the drama that she brings, Mia has positioned herself as a strong replacement for Monique Samuels. However, her constant jabs and instigating fights have rubbed the cast and viewers the wrong way. Only one season in, and Mia has become one of the new villains on The Real Housewives of Potomac. Move over Gizelle Bryant, there's a new bad girl in town.
