Mia Thornton is opening up about how shocked she was by her husband Gordon Thorton's wild behavior during The Real Housewives of Potomac couples trip. Gordon stole the show during the romantic couples getaway that Wendy Osefo had planned for the entire group. It was the first time that everyone got to see how Gordon behaves when drinking and socializing at a social event While Mia tried to downplay Gordon's actions, the cast and viewers were surprised to see this new side of Gordon.
As the RHOP season 6 newcomer, Mia has done a great job of standing her ground with the other cast members on the show. In fact, Mia has engaged in verbal and shade-throwing warfare with almost every single member of the cast. She has also introduced her family life at home with Gordon and their blended family. Married for nine years with two children together (as well as older kids from previous marriages), Mia is also a grandmother thanks to Gordon. She has admitted to meeting her husband at a strip club charity event, and during the couples' trip, Gordon also bragged about being a "strip club connoisseur."
Gordon stood out among the husbands and his behavior surprised even his wife. Mia recently opened up during The RHOP After Show (video below) about Gordon's antics during the Chesapeake trip. "I was shocked. I'll tell you that Gordon showed that side of himself," Mia said. "Of course I'm aware of it [and] I've seen it. I fell in love with that side of him and I will say that he's consistent." In fact, Mia says this is always how her husband behaves when on vacation. "As long as I've known Gordon, when were on couples' trips or vacation period, that's the G Money Gordon you're going to get."
While talking to Candiace, Wendy said that she supports Gordon being himself but noted that this was a "different Gordon than Mia presented." Mia has been under fire on Real Housewives of Potomac season 6 was and accused of fabricating or twisting facts. When it comes to how she met Gordon, she claims it was during a charity event at a strip club, but some ladies think they met while Mia was working at the club. Candiace has claimed that Mia isn't being completely honest about the role she had at the strip club when she met Gordon. Nonetheless, Mia is also known to boast about being the CEO of multiple businesses.
Candiace and others have accused Mia of only inheriting the business roles from her husband. Gordon is a successful businessman and owner of several companies. Mia helps Gordon run and manage those companies, which is why she often boasts her "boss" lifestyle. With that said, Candiace and Wendy are skeptical of Mia's claims. The Real Housewives of Potomac is full of drama, and Gordon's recent behavior only adds to criticisms against the newcomer. Mia is standing beside her husband, but it looks like she has to prepare for the shade coming her way.
