On Sunday nights episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Karen Huger walked out of her own event after being attacked by the other women for having Monique Samuels there earlier.
The women are having a hard time forgiving Monique after her physical altercation with fellow cast member Candiace Dillard earlier this season. It had taken quite some time for Monique to show remorse over what she had done and some of the ladies are finding it hard to trust her again. They have even begun to turn on Karen, as she refuses to pick a side in the Monique/Candiace fight.
During Sunday night's episode of RHOP, the women gathered at Karen's party in honor of her new wig line, reported People. Before the event had even began, the ladies were giving Karen grief for inviting Monique to the event, causing Karen to walk away. Hearing Monique was at the event was no shock to Ashley Darby as she spoke with Monique about her invite to the party. Monique had revealed to Ashley while out to lunch that she planned to go early so she wouldn't have to see Candice. "She's been asking me all weekend to come and I told her if I do come, I can come early — [she's] obviously going to invite Candiace and I want to support [her], but I'm not ready to be in the same space as Candiace," the 37-year-old told the new mom. During the lunch, the 33-year-old was shocked by Monique's revelation, as Karen told the group while in Portugal that she wasn't invited to the event. They called Karen up for confirmation and, of course, denied it.
Fast forward to the party: Monique arrives before any of the other ladies get there so that she can show her support for Karen and her wig line. Monique sadly had to quickly rush out as Candice was about to arrive and Karen did not want to make things awkward. Soon the rest of the ladies (minus Gizelle) arrived to celebrate Karen and her new business venture. The night was going well until Ashley presented Karen with a bottle of antacid after hearing she drank at Monique's son's birthday party days before. Ashley found this odd as she was not drinking in Portugal due to a stomach issue. This angered Karen, who said it felt like a setup. Robyn Dixon replied by asking, "What do you think you're being set up for? Are you afraid of what you might say when you drink?"
Karen was even more furious after Robyn's question and then said to her that she should worry about what Juan says when he's drunk. Ashley then tried to confront Karen again about Monique, but Karen had enough at this point. "I'm going to ask you to be respectful. So I'm going to get ready and enjoy the rest of my evening. And thank you all for coming. Okay? Thank you," Karen said to Ashley and the other ladies. She then departed the party and left with her husband, Ray, by her side. Karen felt the ladies were being disrespectful and was embarrassed by their behavior. She was tired of the drama and felt the only way to end it was by leaving.
