Candiace Dillard and her husband Chris Bassett are denying hookup insinuations made by The Real Housewives of Potomac newcomer Mia Thornton. This latest exchange comes after the two sparked up a new feud on the show, which spilled over to Twitter over the weekend. After Mia made it seem like she had an x-rated history with Candiace's husband Chris, the couple clapped back at Mia to shut down her claims. With this being Mia's first season on RHOP and Candiace's latest in a series of cast quarrels, spectators wonder who will be the bigger person and call a truce.
Mia came into Real Housewives of Potomac with guns blazing. She started a feud with Wendy Osefo during her first event with the cast of veterans. Now that Wendy is appearing on RHOP season 2, she has had a lot of heat coming her way. Despite Mia being a newbie, she hasn't shied away from an on-screen showdown. After moving past her issues with Wendy, she called out Gizelle Bryant over dinner and now appears to have an issue with Candiace. But Candiace is no angel. She has a reputation on the show for being confrontational and hyping up the drama with her unfiltered reading sessions.
Ahead of viewers getting filled in on the build-up to their feud, Mia took to Twitter over the weekend to take a little petty jab at her new enemy. "@RobynDixonRHOP is NOT NASTY," Mia replied to one fan who accused Robyn and Candiace of being "outspoken and nasty." She went on to credit Robyn for being "real" while tagging Candiace and blasting her husband in the process. "@TherealCANDIACE on the other hand. I'm good. #ischrisgettingpaid. NAH, Ms. Dorthy confirm #unemployment," Mia said. Once Candiace caught wind of Mia's mean tweet she unleashed her verbal fury. "Now, I have specifically made it a point to ignore your handsome ass all season," Candiace said in a response to Mia's tweet.
Candiace called Mia out for constantly talking about her. "Don't pull that victim/bully bullsh*t when I light your a** up again. DO keep my husband's name out of your mouth though," Candiace quipped. Mia took things to another level when she insinuated to possibly hooking up with Candiace's husband in the past. "You’d be mad if you found out your husband was tossing my salad in the kitchen. #souschelf," Mia said with the winking face emoji. Her tweet seemingly insinuated that Mia and Chris had some romantic history the public wasn't aware of.
However, Chris quickly sent a tweet shutting down the speculation. "I mean since I’m so integral this morning and on everyone’s mind and tweets…not really my type, I prefer that au natruale dark chocolate type a woman," the chef said. Mia claimed she was referring to another guy but still appeared to hint at the possibility of knowing Chris previously. All things considered, it does look like Mia tried to get under Candiace's skin by flirting with her husband. Despite being married herself, all is fair in war when it comes to Mia. The Real Housewives of Potomac newcomer is working her way through the cast with dramatic showdowns. Now with Candiace and Mia having issues, it's no telling when or if their issues will get resolved. It looks like more drama to recap at the reunion.
