The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Emily Simpson is getting hip replacement surgery. She is hoping to be on the mend as quickly as possible so she can get back to filming the hit Bravo franchise.
Simpson was recently in the tabloids regarding her marriage to her husband Shane. Viewers were concerned while watching the current season as she had practiced a sexy Las Vegas dance for their anniversary, but he refused to fly to Sin City to watch because he was studying for the California Bar Exam. As a result, she ended up performing the sensual dance for her father and mother-in-law.
While most of the housewives were known to endure never-ending cosmetic surgeries and procedures, Simpson had chosen to go under the knife for a hip replacement surgery on October 28, as reported by Us Weekly. Fans of the popular show have noticed Simpson’s struggles with arthritis that made it hard for her to join in on all the fun with the other ladies. The mom of three tweeted that she was nervous about her upcoming surgery, but is much more excited to be pain-free, which will allow her to run, jump, walk, and play with her energized children.
The famous housewife told fans that her battle with arthritis had left her with no cartilage in her left hip. She went onto explain that she had not been able to lie down or tie her shoes over the course of several months. The idea of waking up pain-free is what is keeping Simpson excited for her procedure. In a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange Country, Tamra Judge, who owns her own gym, offered Simpson some training and health advice. Simpson had a minor meltdown when she weighed herself, as she was the heaviest she had ever been, and she confided in Judge that she had been living in her own world of denial.
While the attorney is finally making a positive change in her personal health, she has been trolled on her social media on numerous occasions on account of her physique. She's tried to not pay the naysayers any attention and would like to be a positive role model when it comes to body positivity. In the current season, Simpson has already found herself in a fight with her best friend on the show, Gina Kirschenheiter, and on the outs with Judge. Hopefully, the rest of the season will start to look up for her.
