Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson, is speaking out against rumors she and fiancé, Steve Lodge, have broken up.
Vicki was apart of the first ever housewives series to air and had been there from the start. Known as the OG from the OC, Vicki was the only housewife from her season to stay on the series for 13 seasons as a full time cast member and one season as a "friend of." Vicki went through a lot of ups and downs throughout her time on the show, but found some peace once she started dating her fiancé, Steve. Now it seems there are some rumors that the two are on the rocks.
Vicki spoke with Us Weekly to shut down those rumors that she and Steve have called off the engagement. A fan pointed out that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram and have not posted a couples picture in quite some time. Vicki was of course upset by this claim and quickly fired back in an interview with the publication. "I have no fricking idea where this came from,” she exclusively told the publication this past Monday. “Someone bored trying to stir up crap.” The RHOC alum confirmed that she and Steve are doing just fine and are still very much engaged. “[We] live together and live a very private romantic life,” the former housewife revealed. “We don’t follow each other on social media and haven’t for a long time, and we don’t post photos of each other – what’s the point?” Vicki believed this whole rumor to be a joke and originally did even want to comment on it. Looks like there is no trouble in paradise for these two lovebirds.
The couple were set to marry back in April, but the wedding was sadly postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Vicki still plans on marrying Steve, but she is in no rush to walk down the aisle. She and Steve have been together for quite some time and do not need celebrate with a big wedding right now. It seems the couple are willing to wait for the pandemic to slow down and have the wedding they had originally planned for. Now that Vicki is no longer a cast member of RHOC, she and Steve have a lot more time to spend together. Vicki revealed in January that she will not be returning to the show after 14 seasons and is ready to focus on getting married. Since their wedding was postponed, Vicki put her Orange County home up for sale and bought a retirement home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. She also purchased a lake house in North Dakota, so she can be close with her daughter, Briana, who is currently expecting.
It looks like Vicki and Steve are going strong despite the split rumors. The couple are just enjoying their time together rather than posting their lives on social media.
