After 16 seasons of The Real Housewives of Orange County, there are certainly a handful of cast members who regret ever being on the show. Back in 2006, Bravo kickstarted the RHOC series with original housewives Vicki Gunvalson, Jeana Keough, Kimberly Bryant, Jo De La Rosa, and Lauri Peterson. The focus of the show was to follow around a group of women from Orange County and show how they navigated their personal and professional lives.

As the longest-running cast member on the show, Vicki was a full-time housewife from season 1 up until season 13. While she appeared on RHOC season 14, however, Vicki was demoted to a "friend of" role for that season. Since the inaugural season of RHOC, the series has introduced more than 20 different women as cast members. While some of them were one-season wonders, others may have regrets about ever joining the series in the first place.

Elizabeth Lyn Vargas

Fans remember that Elizabeth only appeared on RHOC season 15, but she bared her heart and soul while appearing on the show. During a hike with fellow costar Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Elizabeth opened up about her childhood and being stuck in a religious cult. The former reality star revealed she and her family lived in a church compound, making it impossible for her to escape. She suffered from different types of abuse for many years and was finally able to leave after they were kicked out. Elizabeth might regret opening up about her troubled past since she was fired after only a season.

Peggy Sulahian

Season 12 - Peggy Sulahian RHOC

Peggy received a lot of backlash from fans when she appeared on Real Housewives of Orange County season 12. Viewers didn't find Peggy's storyline all that interesting and found her to be a bit boring. Peggy, who left after one season, would never get in the middle of the drama. Whenever she did get a little involved, she tried to end the conflict as quickly as possible. Fans made it known online that Peggy wasn't a good fit for RHOC and wanted her gone. Peggy received a lot of negativity during her time on the show, which may have caused her to regret ever joining in the first place.

Tammy Knickerbocker

Tammy was on Real Housewives of Orange County seasons 2 and 3 and showed a lot of her personal life on TV. Despite Tammy being a full-time housewife, her daughters were usually the focus of the show. Tammy likely regrets ever exposing their personal lives that way, as neither one of her daughters appears to be active on social media. In fact, Tammy also vanished from Instagram and hasn't uploaded anything in over a year.

Despite the success many women from Real Housewives of Orange County received after being on the show, certain cast members weren't so lucky. This is particularly true after season 10, which is when the series began to fall in ratings. At this point in the series, most of the new cast members are becoming less and less memorable.
