Shannon Beador of The Real Housewives of Orange County was nearly was sued by her ex-husband David Beador after talking about his new wife on social media. The two women have yet to meet after two years, and fans wonder if David likes it that way.
The show's fans will recall the couple separated back in 2017 after they could not work through David's cheating issue. They later finalized their divorce in 2019. Cameras followed Shannon around as she lost her cool at times, but everyone breathed a sigh of relief when the papers were signed. The divorce did not go smoothly as they had a nasty custody battle and argued about money, leaving a bad taste on both David and Shannon's mouths.
Bravo fans assumed that once Shannon and David parted ways, they would be cordial and move on with their lives. The exact opposite has happened as the former couple continues to duke it out with one another in the press. Us Weekly reported that issues are still so heated between the two that David threatened to sue his children's mother. It all started when the housewife made an appearance on Jeff Lewis' SiriusXM radio show and spoke out of turn about the baby gift she had sent her ex.
The host alleged that David had sent him multiple text messages, which were angry in nature, after asking Shannon about the real story behind the missing baby gift. According to the mother of three, she sent a lovely gift to the house and revealed to fans that it was returned to her and never opened. Lesley Cook recently revealed on Instagram that she had found the gift and opened it on one of her stories for all to see. Now David has "requested" for Shannon to stop mentioning Cook on TV and outside the reality tv series. Jeff gave an update on his most recent episode where he actually read the texts out loud to listeners where it showed that David wrote, "You and Shannon are so f–king boring" and "All you can do is talk about me and my wife." The texts did not paint David in a good light, and he even called Jeff a chump.
Fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County just think that both Shannon and David should move on and learn to communicate for the sake of their three daughters. Shannon has made steps in moving on with her life since she started dating John Janssen. The network has also hinted there may be a shakeup within the franchise, and many wonder if Shannon will make the cut.
