The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Braunwyn Wyndham-Burke left fans shocked as she admitted to having hired multiple nannies so she could secretly drink without being caught or held accountable.
Windham-Burke was a huge fan of the show before she became a housewife, as she lived most of her life in Laguna Beach. In her freshman season, she made out with Tamra Judge and rubbed Vicki Gunvalson the wrong way. Now, in her sophomore year, she has opened up about hitting “rock bottom” after revealing she was an alcoholic. Windam-Burke has recently been in the media for her open and unconventional marriage with her husband Sean Burke. She even revealed she was dating a new suitor.
The mother of seven revealed in a recent episode that she had actually hired two nannies to watch her brood so she could get drunk away from her children. On Wednesday The Real Housewife “I could completely check out and there wasn't consequences. I had outs.” Viewers watched and listened in horror as the mother admitted that she had hidden bottles of tequila in the closet so that she would not become caught by her husband or family.
After the revelations, Windham-Burke did reveal that she was celebrating her 30 days sober after years of maintaining a boozy fog. Bravo fans are currently keeping up to date on her transition and have been told every day is a struggle for the housewife. Even her castmate's responses differed which seemed to be a bit hypocritical. Gina Kirschenheiter has been the worst supporter telling the cameras that “They're not nannies. They're your alcohol support team.” Even though it seemed that the two may be able to put the past behind them after Windham-Burke apologized and invited her to an AA meeting the two still had a blowout fight towards the end of the episode. Evidently, empathy can only last so long in the OC.
Windham-Burke is currently on the outs with most of her cast members as they have deleted her from social media. The blonde has not always known how to handle herself and after just blurting out her sobriety at Shann Beador’s the rest of the women felt they were talking to a brick wall. Hopefully, the tension with the other women will not ruin her focus on staying healthy and sober. Many Bravo viewers feel like this season will be based around the two women constantly arguing.
