Braunwyn Windham-Burke is under fire once again by fans who feel she's making 'desperate' attempts to be crowned as the main star on The Real Housewives of Orange County. The mother of seven has been transparent this season about her journey to sobriety in addition to her marital woes. However, according to viewers on social media, Braunwyn is doing it all for attention.
Braunwyn has filled media headlines since the summer after reports surfaced that she and her husband Sean were nearing divorce. Back in September, her daughter dedicated a harsh Instagram caption towards her after the Bravo star hinted at needing co-parenting advice. However, shortly after, she did an interview revealing that she and Sean were "modernizing" their marriage by living separately. She also revealed that she was seeing someone special, but didn't give any details. All the reports were surfacing around the same time she opened up about her alcoholism on the show. She shared how she came to terms with the reality of her addiction issues and aimed to live a completely sober life. Most recently she came out as a lesbian and confessed that she's never been attracted to men despite being married for over 20 years. In addition, she shared her and Sean's intentions to stay married despite her sharing photos of her new girlfriend.
Now with all the reports surrounding her lifestyle and unconventional marriage, the Bravo star has become a top trending topic for the show. However, RHOC fans are speaking out on social media over their belief that Braunwyn is just making "desperate" moves to get more camera time. It all started after the @Realhousewivesfranchise shared a screenshot of a comment Bruanwyn left defending her sobriety journey shared on the show. "If I was going to do something just a "storyline" I would've picked something easier, being sober in this toxic environment ain't easy," she wrote. Though Braunwyn meant well by her remarks, fans were quick to hop in the comments and shut down her claims. "Please make this her last season," one follower wrote while another accused her recent sexuality reveal of being "desperate for attention."
However, one fan replied to all the shady banter and defended the reality star. "What do you people want from this woman? Last year you called her boringwyn. Now that she’s sharing, you say she’s seeking attention," the follower quipped. "Face it, she does get paid to share everything about her life and she wanted to share these things on her own terms or bravo would twist it for her." The fan went on to suggest the haters just "fast forward her like I do with Kelly instead of b*ching." The comments come amid reports of a ratings drop on the show. Kelly Dodd responded to claims that she was the reason for the loss in viewership saying it was because the show aired during an election.
Meanwhile, Kelly has also sent out warnings against Braunwyn with threats that she was going to "eat her alive" at the upcoming reunion show. One thing is for sure, fans can count on Braunwyn to bring the juicy storylines and Kelly to bring the drama.
