Now that Bravo's latest Real Housewives city, Salt Lake City, has wrapped up its first season, fans have been dissecting the series and determining their stance on the current cast. Among the likes of Heather, Whitney, Mary, Meredith, and Lisa, Jen Shah was another standout that fans' couldn't get enough of. She is so extra and so outlandish that she was born for reality television.
Throughout the first season, there were plenty of parties and celebrations going on and Jen happened to have a meltdown at most of them. Furthermore, she didn't know how to let go of the drama once she was at home and had the chance to cool off. For Jen, loyalty is everything and once that's questioned, the angry Jen comes out.
Her Meltdown With Coach
After a catastrophe of sizable proportions at Coach Shah's birthday party, Jen was angry at the world for her marital problems with her husband. After her blow-up at the birthday party, her husband didn't come home for days on end and wouldn't speak to her. By the time he cooled off and came home, it was time for the conversation they both were dreading.
Jen began bawling and turning red in the face at her disappointment in her husband. The pain she felt didn't come from his birthday party, it came from him missing her father's funeral months before. All of Jen's words were a first for Coach Shah; he didn't know how to respond to her emotion.
The Met Gala Luncheon
The ladies of Salt Lake City had a few tense gatherings, which is why Mary wanted to get all the ladies together for a Met Gala-themed luncheon to confront their problems. Mary didn't want anyone to interrupt and inspired everyone to go around the table and say their piece.
However, once Jen Shah began speaking, Mary interrupted her and pressed her. This was something she did not do to any of the ladies. This started a showdown between the women and Jen lashed out. She stormed out of the restaurant twice and brought up shocking things that Mary said that the other women didn't know about.
Meredith & Lisa's Birthday Party
One of the first parties viewers seen thrown on RHOSLC is the extravaganza Jen threw at her chalet for Meredith and Lisa's birthday party. Hilariously, the party was more of a party for Jen than for Meredith and Lisa but nevertheless, the party fun came to a halt when Jen saw Mary.
The two women were at each other's throats all season after Mary's comment about Jen smelling like a "hospital." As soon as Jen and Mary began talking about it, Jen freaked out and ran to her bedroom to "cool off," which consisted of screaming and crying. She and Mary eventually made up but it didn't last long.
Whitney's 1920s Party
Whitney held a ton of fun parties for the ladies during the first season; one of them being a 1920s themed party at a secret saloon. Jen looked amazing but after too many cocktails, an angry side came out. As it turned out, she was still angry at Mary for what she said to her about smelling like a "hospital." As soon as Jen saw Meredith getting along with Mary, Jen freaked out.
She didn't think Meredith was a good friend anymore because, in her eyes, no one could be friends with her if they were also friends with her enemy. Tears were shed and Jen left the party early with the help of Heather and Coach Shah.
The (Not So Relaxing) Spa Day
After Coach Shah's fiasco of a birthday party, Whitney wanted to take Heather and Jen away for a unique spa day. The three had some tension between them and Whitney desperately wanted to squash any beef among them. But as soon as the three of them got in the outdoor tub, Jen went off.
She blamed Whitney for ruining her marriage and she called Heather a bad friend. Jen wanted the ladies to take responsibility for what they did to her marriage instead of looking in the mirror and realizing she was the real problem. Jen was so mad that she even splashed the camera crew.
Las Vegas & Getting Handsy With Heather
The Las Vegas trip was supposed to be a girls' trip filled with giggles, champagne, and bonding. What it turned into instead was a bloodbath. Whitney, Lisa, and Meredith all made up, and they assumed that Jen was also okay with everyone in the group. But as soon as Jen had a few drinks, she became aggressive.
She told Heather that she did not accept Whitney's apology and didn't trust anyone that was still friends with Mary. (Everyone thought we had moved on from this!) As soon as Jen saw Whitey, she got in her face and screamed. Heather tried to cool Jen down but Jen swatted her hand away. Because of Jen's blow-up, the Las Vegas trip was ruined.
Coach Shah's Birthday
It seems like each blow-up Jen has is bigger than the last. As horrible as the Las Vegas trip was, her husband's birthday party was even worse. Jen felt ganged up on and was under the impression that all of her friends were scared of her.
Instead of confronting the issue softly, Jen threw her glass across the room, yanked on her husband to leave his own birthday party, and had to be escorted out by her son... It was a fiasco and an awful look for Jen. This party was also the subject of many sour conversations during the season.
