The Real Housewives of New York City star Luann de Lesseps confirmed recent rumors that the RHONY Legacy reboot is not going forward at the moment. The cabaret singer has been a staple on the Real Housewives series for years. The mother of two was hoping to make a comeback, but it looks like she may have sung her last song.

Sources close to Bravo told Page Six recently that the RHONY Legacy spin-off show containing the famed Big Apple OGs had been axed, and RHONY's Luann de Lesseps has confirmed the news. The "Money Can't Buy You Class" singer spoke with People, saying, "I always said, 'Never count out the Countess,' but in this case, it's, 'Never count out the New York City Housewives." The former nurse and model revealed that "negotiations have stalled" and that, for now, the iconic RHONY stars won't be getting the band back together.

Luann de Lesseps Still Has Hope For RHONY Spin-Off

Luann emphasized that the news doesn't mean RHONY Legacy is over for good. The reality show has reportedly been held up due to negotiations about pay, with Bravo feeling like the women were asking for too much and the talent feeling like they weren't being given their dues. RHONY Legacy production insiders told Page Six that the women believed they should make what "the cast of Friends made in their heyday." The network reportedly decided to pull its offer and put the RHONY spin-off on an indefinite pause, though executive producer recently tweeted that fans shouldn't believe everything they read.

RHONY Legacy was meant to include Luann, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Kelly Bensimon, and Jill Zarin. Ramona Singer and Tinsley Mortimer previously confirmed that they would not participate in the RHONY spin-off. The Singer Stinger recently revealed that she was tired of being recognized on the streets of New York and wanted to have a more private life. Since being fired from RHONY, which Luann confirmed, Ramona has been concentrating on her real estate ventures.

Even though the news of the RHONY Legacy reboot is disappointing, Bravo fans can still look forward to a new season of RHONY. After a poor showing for The Real Housewives of New York City season 13, the network decided to revamp and recast, which will include a more diverse group of women to star on the show. It was confirmed at BravoCon that Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Lizzy Savetsky, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield will all be starring in the new season, which is set to air in 2023. While fans won't be seeing Luann on it, they can tune in to watch her spin-off with Sonja called Welcome To Crappie Lake.
