The relationships on Peacock’s The Real Housewives of Miami have always been at center stage throughout the series, and fans have found it hard to watch Lisa Hochstein's marriage fall apart. Season 5 has put good, bad, and ugly dynamics on display. Over the course of Lisa’s run on The Real Housewives of Miami, since season 2 in 2012, her relationship with husband Leonard “Lenny” Hochstein has been showcased, along with their seemingly massive wealth. The plastic surgeon and his wife would throw lavish parties and dine at the fanciest restaurants. They appeared to be deeply in love, and they were trying to start a family together. However, Lenny had a shadow side, as he did a complete 180-degree turn in his relationship during season 5's fourth episode. A secret affair came to light, and the moment was heartbreaking to watch.
Lisa & Lenny: Two Kids & A Lie
As most fans of the series know, Lenny and Lisa struggled to get pregnant during the show’s initial run in the early 2010s. Lenny would often get upset with Lisa for this reason. Fast-forward to 2021, when the series returned, and the couple had two beautiful children, Logan and Ellis. They were welcomed via surrogate, and Lisa and Lenny seemed very happy. However, all was not as it seemed, as Lenny was caught in a "hot mic" moment, telling a friend that he was no longer sleeping with Lisa. He wouldn't get intimate with his wife because he felt that he'd be cheating on the woman he actually loved. He continued, saying that Lisa had no idea that she was being cheated on. However, that changed as Lisa broke down, and began to share everything that he told her with the other housewives, during their cast trip to the Florida Keys.

In hindsight, during the last two seasons, Lisa appeared to be more in love with Lenny than he was with her. Lenny seemed to have mentally checked out of the relationship when she asked him if they still had their spark. He just widened his eyes, nodded, and said, “mmhmm, yeah” the entire time. However, she did notice that something was changing, as he had been taking better care of his health recently, by working out and following a healthier diet.
Soon enough, she learned that he was not necessarily doing that for her, but for his mistress. Things started to get heated when Lisa learned that, while she was in the Keys, her children were left unattended. Lenny refused to let his mother in the house, and the nanny was told to stay in the guest accommodations, which Lisa highly disapproved of. She berated him on the phone, saying, “you bring that girl anywhere near my f****** kids, there’s going to be a huge f****** problem. You understand me?”
The relationship between Lisa and Lenny ran its course on The Real Housewives of Miami, in a highly publicized and troubling manner. It has been especially difficult to watch, as a large part of the drama revolves around how their children are being cared for. Lenny wanted kids for a long time, but is perceived as neglecting his own. While the deception was painful for Lisa to come to terms with, she said she still loved Lenny.
