Summary

  • Kyle Richards is the new Queen Bee of RHOBH since Lisa Vanderpump's departure, and some fans think the current cast is the best yet.
  • Former Housewives like Kathryn Edwards and Carlton Gebbia had unique impacts on the show but were not the most likable or entertaining.
  • Lisa Vanderpump and Lisa Rinna were major players on RHOBH, but their relationships with other cast members ultimately led to their exits.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finished its twelfth season, and some cast members rank better than others. Only one of the group has been a part of the series since season 1 and is the new Queen Bee now that Lisa Vanderpump is out of the picture: Kyle Richards. With the addition of Diana Jenkins, it's time to reflect on former Housewives that once held a diamond. However, some fans think RHOBH season 12's cast is the best yet, so the show might keep improving.

What makes RHOBH such a great city in the franchise are the Housewives on the roster. While there were staples like Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, and Lisa Rinna, some Housewives didn't have the same kind of impact. However, from season 1 to season 12, these former Housewives were all unique in their own way.

Kathryn Edwards (Season 6)

Kathryn Edwards on rhobh

Kathryn Edwards joined the women of Beverly Hills for one season in season 6. Her main highlights were her relationship with her husband and former NFL player, Donnie Edwards. She also argued with RHOBH friend Faye Resnick, who wasn't seen as the most likable member of the group, according to Edwards.

After the murder of model Nicole Brown and the involvement of OJ Simpson, Faye wrote a book about the ordeal and dropped Kathryn Edwards' name, even though the two didn't know each other. In the end, Edwards decided she enjoyed her privacy more than the fame and didn't re-sign for a second season. Kathryn was a strong Housewife but wasn't the most entertaining or likable.

Carlton Gebbia (Season 4)

Carlton Gebbia on rhobh

Carlton Gebbia was a highly intelligent Housewife who joined the cast in season 4. Her time on the show was short-lived, but she caused some drama in the group, slowly becoming one of the most hated Housewives of Beverly Hills. Carlton was a Wiccan and styled her home in a gothic, raising eyebrows within the cast. This included Kyle Richards. According to Cheat Sheet, Kyle said in an interview that she tries not to remember season 4 because of Carlton.

Joyce Giraud de Ohoven (Season 4)

Joyce Giraud de Ohoven on rhobh

Along with Carlton, Joyce Giraud de Ohoven is another Housewife from season 4 who didn't last long. She was a married mother of two and former Miss Puerto Rico. And like some of the other ladies on this list, she also dabbled in acting. During her short time, Joyce got into a few altercations with Lisa Vanderpump and Brandi, but she wasn't dramatic or entertaining enough to keep her spot on the show.

Denise Richards (Seasons 9-10)

RHOBH's Denise Richards

Denise Richards was one of the highest-paid Housewives when she joined in season 9. As a famed actress and notable celebrity, it was thrilling for Denise to join the series and have an inside look at her private life.

After an exciting season 9, Denise had a harder season 10. After rumors that she cheated on her husband with former Housewife Brandi Glanville, Denise fell from grace as she defended her marriage. The drama was too much for her, and she slowly stopped appearing at cast events. After the season 10 reunion, Denise revealed she wouldn't return for season 11.

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave (Seasons 7-10)

Teddi Mellencamp on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave was a great addition to The Real Housewives because of her famous family and connection to Beverly Hills. Although she was new to the group, she became close friends with Kyle Richards, and the two of them went against the group. Unfortunately, Teddi was less entertaining than the other Housewives. Although heavily involved in the Puppy Gate scandal, she didn't add much value to the series and left after season 10.

Adrienne Maloof (Seasons 1-3)

Adrienne Maloof on RHOBH

Adrienne Maloof was an absolute powerhouse. She had a strong presence on RHOBH because of her relationship with her husband, Paul Nassif. They were also neighbors with the Vanderpumps, which made for fun TV. Adrienne was a cast member for three seasons before stepping away, but she still showed up as a guest or friend over the years. Adrienne was more than a cast member because she was friends with these women outside of filming. Allegedly, Adrienne quit the series because of a vile altercation with Brandi revolving around Adrienne's children.

Taylor Armstrong (Seasons 1-3)

Taylor Armstrong looking serious on RHOBH

This Oklahoma native was heartbreaking during her relatively short tenure on RHOBH. Taylor was introduced in season 1, but it became evident by Kyle's white party that Taylor's marriage was in ruins. Regarding the other Housewives, Taylor got along with everyone nicely except for Kim Richards, Camille Grammer, and Brandi. Taylor was a huge part of the Dinner Party from Hell. Although she left RHOBH, she recently starred in season 2 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip and is set to star on The Real Housewives of Orange County!

Brandi Glanville (Seasons 2-5)

Brandi Glanville on RHOBH

Is Brandi Glanville one of the most hated Housewives of Beverly Hills? She's been part of the series since becoming a guest in season 2 and still pops up in storylines, even though she's no longer a main cast member. Brandi was the villain of the series because of her quick tongue and inability to keep a secret. Amidst the increasing drama, Bravo fired her after season five.

According to Cafe Mom, Andy Cohen said that the ladies of Beverly Hills "hated" Brandi, and Brandi felt the same way about them, so it wasn't a good mix. However, it's easy to hate-watch Brandi.

Kim Richards (Seasons 1-5)

Kim Richards-RHOBH-S5-Best and Worst Sister Moments

Kim Richards is another OG Housewife that fans loved to watch. Even after all these years, she's not forgotten. As the sister of Kyle Richards, the two had a unique relationship filled with unconditional love and hatred for one another. Kyle was emotionally drained from helping her with her addiction issues. The sisters tried to mend their relationship, but other members of the cast kept getting involved. By season 6, Kim entered the series as a friend without a diamond.

Eileen Davidson (Seasons 5-7)

Eileen Davidson talking to another Housewife at a reunion for RHOBH

What made Eileen special was her openness about her personal life. She showed viewers what it was like to be a soap opera star, but she was also incredibly raw about being married once before and having an affair with her current husband. She took control of the situation and laid it all on the table. Reality Blurb noted there were rumors made by Lisa Vanderpump that Davidson was fired, but Eileen came back swinging and claimed she was the one who left the show willingly.

Yolanda Hadid (Seasons 3-6)

Yolanda Hadid on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wearing white with short hair ourside

Yolanda Hadid was a prized Housewife. She started in season 3 and lasted until season 6 before leaving on her own terms. Through the years, fans saw Yolanda raise her supermodel children (Gigi and Bella Hadid), her marriage to famed musician David Foster, and her battle with Lyme disease.

Her marriage to Foster and Lyme disease diagnosis caused the most drama. Particular Housewives didn't believe Yolanda was sick. What's worse is there were rumors and conspiracy theories that her sickness broke apart her marriage. It would be fun to have her back on the show now that Yolanda is in a different place.

Camille Grammer (Seasons 1-2)

RHOBH’s Camille Grammer

Camille Grammer did not have an excellent reputation in season 1 of RHOBH. Due to her marriage to Kelsey Grammer falling apart, Camille wasn't particularly friendly to everyone. She argued with almost everyone and said catty things during her confessional.

And while she left after season 2, she's still a big part of the show and shows up to parties. She was even a guest in season 10 with newbie Garcelle as she battled and befriended Denise Richards. Even though Camille doesn't have the best track record with friends, Housewife fans admit she's one of their favorites.

Lisa Vanderpump (Seasons 1-9)

Lisa Vanderpump talking in a RHOBH confessional

Lisa Vanderpump was the queen of RHOBH when she was on the series for nine seasons. It was essentially her way or the highway. If the Housewives were close with Vanderpump, they were living the good life. But the minute they crossed her, trouble wasn't far away.

Vanderpump's credibility died out like a crashing star by season 9 after her best friend and confidant (Kyle Richards) realized Vanderpump was a master manipulator. When that friendship died, Vanderpump left the series. However, she's far too entertaining for people to ignore, which is why her spinoff, Vanderpump Rules, has done so well.

Lisa Rinna (Seasons 5-12)

Lisa Rinna poses for promotions of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH)

Lisa Rinna was the queen of RHOBH when she appeared on the show. Between her quippy one-liners, goofy sense of humor, and inability to back down from a fight, she will live on in RHOBH history as one of the best Housewives ever. While Lisa's RHOBH exit was long overdue, the show would have been stale without her. After the departure of both Lisas, there are some big shoes to fill. Hopefully, the rest of the RHOBH cast is up for the challenge.
