After rumors began to circulate of Ramona Singer being fired from The Real Housewives of New York, she took to social media to deny the rumors. The 64-year-old is the only original cast member on the series, besides Luann de Lesseps, who was demoted to 'friend of' for season six. Even though Ramona says and does things that the audience does not agree with, she is a staple in the franchise whose presence would be greatly missed if she ever left the show.

Viewers met Ramona during the very first episode of season one, and she quickly caught the attention of Real Housewives fans. She was known for being a bit of a prude when it came to other people, like when Alex McCord brought up the nude photoshoot she did with her husband, Simon. Ramona walked off the stage without notice admitting she didn't want to hear about something she found declasse. However, Ramona has changed since then and has become much more carefree.

Earlier this week, the New York native took to her Instagram to deny rumors she will not be returning to RHONY for season 14. A fan asked Ramona on a recent post if she received the boot from Bravo. Ramona simply replied "nope" to the ongoing rumor. Reports claimed that a cast shakeup would be taking place before the beginning of next season, Page Six revealed. In fact, the reunion taping has been pushed back from the beginning of August to at least September amid a decline in ratings. Production for season 14 has also been pushed, with filming delayed until early 2022, which is more than four months behind schedule.

Ramona's main plotline of the season involves newbie Eboni K. Williams, as they discuss the injustices of race and politics going on in the country. While viewers appreciate Eboni's efforts to bring awareness to the social injustices in the country, they have started to become uninterested in the drama it is stirring up. A source from production revealed to the news outlet that casting decisions for season 14 have yet to be made. "These are all rumors, and there’s no discussion about next season — which hasn’t even been announced — yet," the insider said. A source also told The Daily Mail that, "the cast is divided" and "the women are not getting along" right now.

Since casting decisions have yet to be made, it seems unlikely Ramona will get the boot from The Real Housewives of New York. Ramona may not be a relatable figure, however, she had a number of memorable moments on the show that will go down in Housewives history. Ramona may not say the right thing, but her intentions are always right.
