It might be time for Ramona Singer to leave The Real Housewives of New York City amid shocking reports of an internal investigation pertaining to Ramona's behind-the-scenes behavior and alleged racism. Ramona has rubbed fans the wrong way since RHONY started out, but it took the addition of the show's first Black housewife to bring all of Ramona's true colors to light. Her views on politics, race, and culture led to a probe that ultimately resulted in the canceled RHONY season 13 reunion and a delay in production on season 14.

Ever since RHONY season 1, Ramona has been the reigning villain of the series. Her outspoken criticism against the cast and seemingly pompous view of anyone other than herself has put her in the middle of lots of drama over time. In recent years, Ramona's antics have resulted in more fan backlash after she started sharing her controversial views on politics, the pandemic, and issues surrounding racism. With Eboni becoming a cast member during heightened racial tension in the US, there were a lot of serious topics to tackle. However, Ramona labeled Eboni's teachable moments as "preachy" in addition to being opposed to debating those topics. When looking at the root of the issue on RHONY, producers might need to consider giving the OG housewife the boot.

Most recently, it was revealed that Ramona and Eboni were involved in racism claims that resulted in an internal investigation by the producers. "There was a complaint made between Eboni K. Williams and Ramona Singer," a source told People. "Cast and members of the production were interviewed, but the investigation was closed after nothing substantial was found." This report shows how serious the onscreen drama got behind the scenes. It also points to more important underlying issues on the franchise. If adding in the first Black housewife leads to an internal investigation into racism, there's clearly some significant damage that producers might've ignored for too long.

In addition to the racism claims surrounding Ramona on RHONY season 13, she has also been named as the biggest troublemaker during The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip spin-off. Even Luann de Lesseps called out Ramona for giving her the most conflict. "I was expecting it to come from somewhere else but it was home base," Luann said on E! News' Daily Pop. Cast members from other franchises, such as Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, have also alluded to Ramona being the most difficult during filming. It goes to show how much bad behavior Ramona has seemingly been able to get away with for the last decade. She is one of the few remaining OG housewives on the franchises.

Producers will have to answer the question of whether or not Ramona is worth all of the hassle. In the past, controversial housewives have eventually been pushed out. NeNe Leakes, Vicki Gunvalson, and even Phaedra Parks have all either left, been fired, or demoted off the show. Thus, Ramona Singer is not exempt from being let go. With The Real Housewives of New York City being in a state of brief hiatus, producers have to decide what their next move will be when it comes to addressing Ramona's alleged racism.
