Luann de Lesseps from The Real Housewives of New York City has moved on since her split with personal trainer Garth Wakeford. The pair began a relationship shortly before the reality star began filming season 13 of the Bravo series. Luann had been out of the dating game for quite some time when she met Garth, as her last romance was with her ex-husband Tom D'Agostino in 2017. However, their love affair did not last long as she and Tom were only together for a total of two years and married for less than a year.
Ever since Luann ended her marriage to Tom almost four years ago, the mother of two has been dating around, not looking to get too serious with anyone. However, Luann changed her mind after she met Garth. The short-lived couple met on the dating app Hinge, with Luann surprised she was able to meet someone on the app who was exactly what she was looking for. Even though Luann spoke fondly of her new relationship, she announced their breakup in April and was looking forward to dating someone new.
During an appearance on Access Hollywood's Housewives Nightcap last week, the 56-year-old got candid about her dating life since her split from Garth. "I am dating. Garth and I had a great relationship during COVID. It was a COVID sizzle, and then it fizzled — and that's okay," she said of the relationship. "We've moved on, and I'm dating. I met somebody in Mexico, so I'm seeing him once in a while. But I'm single and always a hopeless romantic. Never say never." However, seeing as her relationship with the mystery guy from Mexico is very new, Luann, who is newly sober, plans on taking this relationship slowly. Luann jetted off to Mexico in late February, shortly after she wrapped filming for RHONY.
Luann confirmed her relationship with Garth in November 2020 following their meet-up in the Hamptons after they matched on a dating app. At first, Luann thought Garth was too good to be true but was taken aback when she saw him for the first time, and he looked exactly like he did in his pictures. The couple was hot and heavy at the beginning of their relationship, but the flame eventually burned out. Last month, there were rumors Garth was spotted in the Hamptons with another woman and was cheating on Luann. However, the cabaret star quickly shut down those rumors and confirmed the pair had split "before the holidays" and that she wishes him well.
Now that Luann is out in the dating world again, she can begin to focus on finding a man who truly makes her happy. Garth was a great distraction for her during the COVID-19 pandemic, but now Luann needs to find someone who is husband material. Maybe this new love interest from Mexico will be the love she has been searching for.
