The countess has always had an air about her that does not help her connect with her fans. The former model and tall brunette was first the most unliked cast member on the show thanks to her embracing her Countess title, and her popularity wavered after her Palm Springs arrest. Luann often acted conceited, even putting on a bit of an accent, but fans always pointed out she was a nurse from Connecticut. Since her arrest, she has been able to capitalize on performing sub-par cabarets.
Fans watched on the last season of The Real Housewives of New York as Luann fell off the wagon a bit. While on probation, the housewife could not drink any alcoholic beverages but started drinking once her punishment was lifted. Now according to Page Six, she has asked for help. Thanks to her boozy castmates, Luann made the decision to hire a sober coach while filming the newest season. Fans can empathize with the mother of two since it must be hard dealing with Ramona Singer's selfish ways as well as Leah McSweeney's drunken tirades.
Fans will recall in past seasons, Luann also liked a stiff drink and even fell into a bush on a girl's trip. But the temptation seemed to be a bit too much this time around, and she admitted she needed help. The outlet has been told that the singer has made great strides in her sobriety and wants to keep it that way. A source close to the reality star told the outlet that she worked very hard with the coach and even had extra help when they went on their cast trips.
But due to coronavirus, more scenes than usual had to take place at bars and restaurants, which could have been a trigger for Luann, so the temptation was always there. Even though most alcoholics would avoid these places she had to go. But the outlet happily reported that the season of The Real Housewives of New York has wrapped, and the cabaret star is still happily sober.
