Eboni sat down with Nina Parker and addressed the importance of talking about race during her first season as a housewife on the Real Housewives of New York. The discussion was a part of Amplify Our Voices, a digital series from Bravo that addresses cultural issues and working together. Eboni told Nina, “So everybody listening to this dialogue, know that not for one second do I think this is unique to me as a Housewife or unique to me as someone in the public eye. Nothing about this s--t is unique to me, either,” when opening the dialogue about her experience as a black woman on the show.

Eboni received support from her castmate, Sonja Morgan. The 57-year-old New York native sat with an open heart according to Eboni, “I just need you to sit in the space with an open heart and an open mind and the ability to listen, and Sonja does that remarkably throughout the season. This is not gonna be the first time y'all see her show up with that energy.” Eboni’s conversations about race were impactful for her relationship with Sonja who exclaimed, “You know, it's kind of time for us white ladies to do little bit better by our sisters.”

Eboni’s willingness to address the importance of talking about race on the Real Housewives of New York was pivotal in the development of her relationship with her castmate Sonja. Eboni said to Nina, “Sonja and I sat in [a] space and saw one another and throughout this season, we really stand in the gap for one another's emotional needs, because it transcends race.” The state of race around the world has been an ongoing topic of conversation, and Eboni is making strides to continue that conversation on the Real Housewives of New York.
