Last night, a brand-new episode of Real Housewives of New York season 13 aired, along with a brand new Leah McSweeney - both on the inside and out. Since the premiere of season 13, Leah has been showing off her new nose, a new furbaby, Angel, and the big revelation that she's converting to Judaism.

On the show, Leah McSweeney admitted that "sitting alone with yourself during quarantine helps make you some changes." Converting to Judaism was not an overnight decision, but something that Leah had been thinking about for "many, many years." During Bravo's RHONY season 13 premiere, Leah explained that she's "starting my conversion process to Judiasm. It's becoming real to me. I am taking these steps."

On last night's premiere of Bravo's RHONY, Leah admitted she's once again not drinking. She also said during Covid there was a strong pull in the direction of her becoming Jewish. "I got a very deep calling to convert to Judaism." She also said "Maybe I'm having my Madonna Ray of Light" moment. Leah admitted that she's "attracted to the challenge." Last night's Premiere also coincided with the Jewish holiday Purim, where one must ask for forgiveness, which Leah did on Facetime with her father.  Leah's close family members seem to be encouraging about her decision, as long as it makes her happy and offers her faith.

Leah knows there's a long road ahead and changes won't happen overnight, but she intends on sticking with it, in the hopes of it helping her to become a better version of herself"Me converting is the beginning of a very long spiritual journeyThis is about progress, not perfection." Even Leah's new tagline, where she says that she's "Sex-positive and BS negative," shows that she's going to do her own thing and not be bothered by what anyone else thinks.

No doubt, with Judaism and the new structure, rules, and rituals she will have to now follow, Leah may have found her answer to help her keep from falling off the rails. Time and a new season of The Real Housewives of New York will tell if Judaism helps Leah stay on the right track, as well as if her new religion finds her a new man on Jdate.
