Teresa Giudice is responding to Caroline Manzo's verbal threats and The Real Housewives of New Jersey star says she's being used for clout. The two OGs share a scarred history that is still brewing over a decade later. Caroline recently blasted Teresa on her son's podcast while sharing her desire to "smack" Teresa if she ever returned to the show. With Teresa being best friends with Caroline's estranged sister Dina Cantin, there are a number of deep-rooted issues that continue to fuel the fire.
Caroline unloaded on Teresa while appearing on her son's Dear Albie podcast this week. The OG didn't hold back when asked if she would ever consider returning to RHONJ to confront Teresa. Not only would Caroline return, but she would also come back looking to "knock the sh*t" out of "uneducated" Teresa, she claimed. Caroline quipped about being the one to "smack the bully" while blasting Teresa's claims that the Manzo's were behind her past IRS issues that led to her and Joe Giudice doing time in prison. To make matters worse, Teresa is best friends with Caroline's estranged sister Dina, who excommunicated herself from the family after being attacked by her ex-husband Thomas Manzo who is brothers with Caroline's husband Albert Manzo.
After catching wind of Caroline's scathing read, Teresa clapped back and told her fellow OG to stop using her name for clout. "She didn't knock the s*** out of me the entire time she was on the show, that's why I'm still there and she's not," Teresa told TMZ. The Fabulicious author seemingly accused Caroline of using her name for clout. "She's promoting her son's podcast so she talks about me because otherwise, no one is paying attention," Teresa added. The two OGs last shared the same room while appearing in a commercial for the 2020 Super Bowl. Teresa claimed that Caroline was so nice to her during their last encounter. "In person, she was hugging me," Teresa noted. "On her son's podcast, she wants to fight me."
It's also worth noting that Teresa hasn't made mention of her old fraud charges for some time. Her current feuds are with her co-star Margaret Joseph. Teresa hasn't shaded Caroline or Jacqueline Laurita since they last appeared on the show. Caroline exited the show in Season 5 to star in her spin-off Manzo'd With Family. The show was canceled after three seasons and the Manzo family hasn't returned to television since. But Dina still hangs out with Teresa and will serve as one of her bridesmaids. All the while, Dina remains estranged from her sister Caroline and brother Chris Laurita, Jacqueline's husband.
The underlying issues, including legal cases and ties to the mob, is a bit too serious to hash out on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Gia Giudice has said her mother will never be friends with Caroline again and now it's clear why. The two OGs can't stand each other and Caroline clearly is extremely bothered by the mention of Teresa. But "The Teresa Giudice" is used to being hated on and thinks Caroline is just jealous she's still thriving on her old stomping grounds. The drama is too much for Andy Cohen to handle. Leave it to the streets of New Jersey.
