Margaret Josephs is being called out by a newcomer on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, who accuses her of being the first to spread rumors about Melissa Gorga's alleged cheating. Margaret is close friends with Melissa, and has been on her side amid Melissa's family feud with Teresa Giudice. Margaret and Teresa spent season 12 going at it, and despite attending Teresa's wedding to Luis Ruelas, she's still not on the best terms with the show's OG. Margaret is one-third of Teresa's trio of enemies, including Melissa and Jackie Goldschneider.

The last person that fans would expect Margaret to gossip about would be Melissa. However, according to newbie Laura Marasca Jensen, she first heard about Melissa allegedly cheating on Joe with actor Nick Barraota from Margaret. “I was told about this [by Josephs],” Laura shared with Page Six in August, claiming that the Macbeth Collection founder, “was gossiping” about Melissa and Nick years ago. “My intention was never for anyone or their families to be hurt,” Laura said. She added, “The intention was for me to talk to Melissa alone and let her know what was being said about her because I felt I was probably not the only one that knew."

Laura Thinks Margaret Told More People The Rumor

Laura was under the impression that Margaret had even told other people about the rumor. "I didn’t think Margaret only told me [the rumor]," she said, as per Page Six. Margaret refused to comment on Laura's claims at the time that she made them. A separate source reached out later, claiming that Laura tried to get cast on RHONJ three times, and was only sharing the allegations in order to stir up drama, so she could secure her spot on the show.

Whether Laura is stirring the pot or not, her insight into the rumors could change the dynamic between Melissa and Margaret.

Margaret and Melissa are supposed to be friends. They often side with each other against Teresa. Melissa and Joe opted out of attending Teresa's wedding after she mentioned the cheating rumors. However, if Margaret was the one telling people about the allegations, "years ago," then Melissa might want to confront her friend about the, "gossiping." The drama is brewing ahead of the season 13 premiere. It's clear that Teresa has found friendship among the newbies. Jennifer Aydin had been her main sidekick on the show, with Dolores Catania doing a good job of being the voice of reason between both sides.

While Margaret and Melissa filmed season 13 as friends, learning about Margaret's alleged involvement in spreading the cheating rumors could change things. Melissa will surely hear about Margaret's alleged gossiping ahead of the season 13 reunion. The Real Housewives of New Jersey could see a major friendship shift within the cast, as Melissa and Joe may take issue with Margaret allegedly spreading cheating rumors about them. If Melissa can stop speaking to her own sister-in-law, then Margaret probably won't escape her wrath.
