When Bravo first introduced Jennifer Aydin during Real Housewives of New Jersey season 9, she quickly earned the villain label. Cameras showed her life of luxurious excess. Aydin started showing audiences that she was more than a plastic surgeon’s wife. She could clearly do some metaphorical cutting of her own.

Early in her The Real Housewives of New Jersey career, Aydin announced that she used to host a Turkish cooking show, which may have surprised viewers. A lot of people didn't realize that she had television experience. The hours she spent cooking in the kitchen meant that she was able to withstand even the most scorching temperatures. She was also capable of dishing it out.

In her first season as a New Jersey housewife, Aydin made sure that everyone knew about all of the expensive things that she owned, including pricey things for her children. Most people don't have thrones in every room! Aydin’s bragging prompted her fellow freshman housewife Jackie Goldschneider (who recently accused Teresa of having a "double standard") to lament in not-so-anonymous terms about a certain New Jersey friend. This pal seemingly spoiled her children rotten. Instead of adjusting her parenting style due to such a public complaint, Aydin doubled down on her parenting technique. During an aftershow, Aydin proclaimed that while she spoils her children, her children are not spoiled.

RHONJ's Jennifer Aydin

While some new housewives fail to make an impression (and may not deserve to do new seasons), Aydin secured her spot in season 10, during the time-honored season 9 girls’ trip. She nearly threatened New Jersey’s favorite sister-in-law and fellow castmate Melissa Gorga. An inebriated Aydin, who behaves differently after drinking tequila, pledged her allegiance to original franchise villain, Danielle Staub. She took Danielle's side in Staub’s fight against Margaret Joseph (who loves to open up about her exes). When Josephs’ ally Gorga accused Aydin of throwing a glass at Gorga’s foot, Aydin took the villainous approach. She insisted she didn’t throw the glass at Gorga. To prove her point, she broke a wine glass in full view of everyone.

“It was not me sweetheart. It was not me. If I throw (expletive) glass you’re gonna know it,” Aydin said.  Even after smoothing things over with Gorga, Aydin kept things interesting among the housewives in the off-season. On Instagram, she was captured mocking Goldschneider. Only a true villain would stoke the fires of a possible future plotline when the cameras weren’t rolling. The result was a season-opening dispute between Aydin and Goldschneider (who's feuding with Teresa Giudice) that lasted for several episodes.

Then, to make sure no other castmates felt left out, Aydin mocked all of The Real Housewives of New Jersey women at a dinnertime roast. Aydin clearly has come a long way. Her talents extend beyond being a good cook. She’s established herself as the franchise villain. This woman brings the drama.
