Fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are calling out Jennifer Aydin's history of auditioning for the show after fellow Aries Melissa Gorga blasted her during the reunion. The two housewives have been at odds for the last two seasons. Things came to a head after Jennifer spoke out against Melissa's storyline. However, Melissa fired back, revealing how long Jennifer has been vying for a housewife title.
Since she joined The Real Housewives of New Jersey in season nine, Jennifer has branded herself as the first Turkish show star who lives a life of luxury. Her wealthy husband is plastic surgeon Bill Aydin. She has gone to war with the likes of Jackie Goldschneider and Margaret Josephs, due to their criticism of her decadent lifestyle. Over the course of her three-season run, Jennifer hasn't backed down from a fight. She's also shared aspects of her family life. Aside from her husband, she has five kids and feuding parents. Since season 10, Jennifer and Melissa have been frenemies, due to Jennifer's outspoken criticisms of Melissa, who has been accused of selling fake Chanel at her Envy Boutique. Jennifer isn't happy about Melissa's shady remarks behind the scenes.
During the season 11 reunion, their feud was reignited, with Melissa bringing up how Jennifer had been trying out for the show "for eight years." After making the surprising revelation, one fan took to Reddit to ask, "why do people say Jennifer built her house just to get on rhonj?" They went on to question how Melissa knew Jennifer had been auditioning for the show for so long. "This reminded me that her entire first season personality was having 16 bathrooms. She’s sure developed as a character since then," someone responded. Many began questioning whether Jennifer actually had 16 bathrooms in her home or was fabricating the home's grandeur for the show.
Another Redditor noted Jennifer's past comments about upgrading her home in order to get cast on the show. "Jennifer has been on several podcasts talking about her previous auditions to get on," they said. "I think she started during the amber/twins seasons. And she had said they didn’t pick her because of her lifestyle and house at the time." This might be what Melissa was referring to when she claimed that Jennifer has been trying out for the show for years. The twins were cast in season six and Jennifer wouldn't join until three seasons later.
Someone else called out Melissa for possible hypocrisy, considering how she got cast on the show, which was through her sister-in-law, the "greatest housewife" Teresa Giudice."
