Jackie Goldschneider from The Real Housewives of New Jersey got candid during an interview this week about almost quitting the show. After rumors of her marriage with husband Evan Goldschneider began to swirl within the group, Jackie was second-guessing her spot on the show. She needed to weigh her family versus her career.

When Jackie joined the Bravo reality series in 2018 for its ninth season. From the beginning, Jackie has been involved in feuds with costars Teresa Giudice, Dolores Catania, and Jennifer Aydin. She has been constantly having to defend herself for who she is. Whether it's the way she throws birthday parties for her children or her personality, Jackie can never seem to win with these women. Now it seems the cast tries to take her down in the upcoming season, almost pushing her to quit.

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on Wednesday, the 44-year-old mother of four revealed she nearly quit the show once affair rumors about her husband began to circulate within the group. “My family will always come first and when something threatens that, I take the time I need to make sure that it is something that is for me,” Jackie told the publication ahead of the season premiere on February 17. “I don’t want to end up a statistic. I don’t want to be just another Housewife who ended up divorced.” Despite her castmates constantly speaking poorly of her husband and the state of her marriage, Jackie did her best to not care what others were saying about her. Although this did allow her to take a step back and think about if it was worth it to stay on the reality show. "I mean, my family and my marriage is beautiful and it’s wonderful and it’s built on a lot of respect and love and nothing is going to get in the way of that," she said.

The writer needed time to figure out how to "maintain the integrity" of her family and her relationship while still being apart of the show. When it comes to rumors involving her family, Jackie is much more sensitive compared to the other ladies within the cast. "The fact that anybody could think that you could do something that potentially destroys a family with four young children, and then just be like, ‘Who cares’ to me? There’s no show I could be on long enough that that would ever happen," she added. Her family is everything to her; Jackie never wanted to jeopardize her family just to appear on a popular reality TV show. The cheating rumors in question began to take a toll on Jackie, and she needed time to take a step back and reevaluate her role on the show.

Season 11 began filming during the summer of 2020 after production was on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. As filming went on, rumors of a Jackie vs. Teresa feud began hitting tabloids and blogs all over the internet. Rumor has it, Teresa accused Jackie's husband of having an affair, which caused the rift between the costars. Fans will have to wait for the premiere on February 17 to see how this feud goes down.
