Gia Giudice responded to Jackie Goldschneider’s ‘analogy’ from the season eleven premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Goldschneider used the name of Teresa Giudice’s eldest daughter when confronting the matriarch over infidelity rumors. “Well, I heard Gia snorts coke in the bathroom at parties,” blurted out the lawyer during her conversation with Giudice. Goldschneider intended to explain how spreading false rumors can damage a reputation.

Damaging a reputation is now the very thing putting Goldshneider in the hot seat. People flooded to Gia’s social media pages accusing her of cocaine use with comments like “Is it true you’re a cokehead” and “Let’s snort a line together”. Her Instagram account has switched to private. Fans of the hit reality show have relentlessly argued over the appropriateness of involving Gia in such a wild analogy. The twenty-year-old broke her silence after previously only issuing a publicist's statement.

“Saying it was an analogy is making it excusable, it’s not” tweeted the Rutgers University student, “My character is now being questioned.” The tweet explained how the analogy could have been made without her name and because of her inclusion, she has fallen victim to malicious misconstructions. “My name was used to make a point. No one should be used in that way, I am suffering the consequences of such an outlandish and untrue statement. While her marriage is happy & intact.” Some comments backed her up while others argued it was a fair retort to her mother’s equally outlandish accusation.

Goldscheider doubled down on her inclusion of the eldest Giudice daughter. “My analogy about Gia was simply an analogy – there was no truth to it of course” tweeted Goldschneider, “the rest of the cast understood this, which you’ll see in the coming weeks.” The upcoming author continued by saying, “The behavior at my husband’s birthday party is truly unfortunate – destroying a marriage and family is not entertainment.” It is unclear from her Twitter if she feels any responsibility for the online harassment Gia is receiving.

Bringing children into the housewife business is a long-running debate for fans of the franchise. Some believe children are strictly off-limits while others believe that children are fair game if they are of a certain age and choose to appear on the show. The garden state housewives argued this back in season nine. Danielle Staub used Margaret Josephs’ untraditional relationship with her step-kids against her in an argument. Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, and Goldshneider agreed. Meredith Marks and Jen Shaw had a similar argument during the reunion of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City when Marks accused Shaw of attacking her son online.

Everyone is sounding off their opinion on the Goldscheider vs. Giudice feud, including housewives from other franchises. It appears to have a lasting impact on the group dynamic for the rest of the season. It is unclear if Gia will appear again this season or if her name will be used to prove future points.
