Dolores Catania responded to Teresa Giudice's bridesmaid list and The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is "not surprised" that Melissa was left out. Teresa recently revealed that none of her co-stars will be bridesmaids in her wedding to Luis Ruelas. When asked if her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga would at least make the cut, Teresa had no issues confirming the answer was "no." Despite Dolores also getting left out, she wasn't surprised that Melissa was also snubbed.
Teresa and Melissa's rocky relationship has been shared over the course of the show. The two haven't had the best relationship despite being related by marriage. Teresa and Melissa have both accused each other of not being loyal. Teresa feels like Melissa is too friendly to some of her enemies, and Melissa has also shared the same sentiments. Considering their history of ups and downs, many weren't surprised that Melissa was left out of Teresa's bridesmaid list.
The OG housewife's longtime friend Dolores also agrees. She recently responded to Teresa's reveal that Melissa wouldn't be included in her wedding. "No, I am not surprised at all," Dolores told Us Weekly. "I don’t think it’s a big deal if Melissa is in the wedding or not." It was during Teresa's recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live when she revealed that none of her co-stars would be her bridesmaids. But Teresa didn't want Andy Cohen to turn it into a potential storyline. "Don’t make a big deal. I mean, come on," Teresa told Andy.
Teresa and Melissa get along but aren't the best of friends. Their family drama has been followed since season 3 when Melissa and Joe Gorga made their inception. At the time, Joe was upset with Teresa over his strained relationship with her ex-husband Joe Giudice. But over time, viewers got to see the mounting tension between Teresa and Melissa. They used to get along great in the early days, but Teresa accused Melissa of changing once she became Joe Gorga's wife. Melissa accuses Teresa of treating her differently because of issues she has with Joe Gorga. Additionally, Teresa was caught bad-mouthing Melissa to other women in New Jersey.
With Teresa and Joe being siblings, the OG housewife will have to get along with her brother's wife. Teresa and Melissa are more tolerant of each other than genuine friends. Hence why Dolores isn't surprised that Melissa will be watching Teresa get married from the audience and not standing alongside her as a bridesmaid. The snub could be relived on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. But for now, fans can just enjoy the buildup.
