Danielle Staub rose to fame on The Real Housewives of New Jersey and she is now accusing Joe Gorga of being involved in a Ponzi scheme. Joe is the brother of "greatest housewife" Teresa Giudice. According to Danielle, when it comes to Teresa, Joe, and shady activity, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Joe Gorga is married to RHONJ star Melissa Gorga.
Teresa's past prison stint is no secret. Her trial was followed on the show and highly publicized in the press at the time. After serving her sentence, she and her four daughters had to endure 41 months without Joe Giudice. Then, he was deported to Italy. Teresa remained transparent throughout the entire experience. She received praise from fans for her honesty throughout the embarrassing ordeal. While she's the only NJ housewife to ever serve time as a cast member (RHOSLC star Jen Shah was recently arrested), she isn't the only one with a shady past. Danielle's skeletons fell out of the closet back in The Real Housewives of New Jersey seasons one and two. However, she claims that she and Teresa aren't the only ones who have been in unlawful circumstances.
Most recently, Danielle appeared on the IGTV series from dating app S’More, S’More Live Happy Hour. She accused Joe Gorga of being involved in illicit business practices that could land him in prison. When asked if Joe was involved in a Ponzi scheme, the Bravo star replied, “100% - he is working it and he is trying to hide behind it but I’m going to call him out and call him right to the table." Joe has shared his professional life on the show, including the houses and buildings he flipped and the Italian restaurant he briefly owned. However, Danielle claims that Joe does more behind the scenes so he can afford the mansion he lives in with his wife and three kids. "It’s not right what he’s doing," Danielle claimed.
She went on to call out Joe's work in real estate and house flipping in New Jersey. It's been included in his past storylines and even caused past conflict with his former brother-in-law Joe Giudice. "He didn’t flip that house," Danielle continued. "He doesn’t do anything without other people doing the work, he just takes the credit for it - not paying people is part of their scam.” There were also allegations that Joe addressed this season with Michelle Pais' husband John Steingraber.
It was Jennifer Aydin who spread the message that Michelle claimed Joe Gorga owed her husband “tens of thousands of dollars.” Melissa Gorga from The Real Housewives of New Jersey told Joe and he denied the allegations. He claimed that he and John never had a contract for the public speaking event they worked on together. After a private meeting between the two, they seemed to settle their differences. However, it looks like Joe has new allegations to deal with.
