Danielle Staub from The Real Housewives of New Jersey has a friend named Daniel Provenzano and this resident thug must pay over $200,000 to his ex-girlfriend. Fans will recall he was Staub’s right-hand man throughout the season.

Staub was a former The Real Housewives of New Jersey star and became well-known for her twisted tales and ability to talk out of both sides of her mouth. She appeared on season one and immediately made waves with Teresa Giudice. Many will recall that she was the reason behind the Jersey table flip. Staub has never been reserved about her many failed engagements, but she did hide the fact that her real name was Beverly. Since she left the show, she has had another two engagements and one failed marriage. She never hung around with the best crowd, and because of this, fans felt she was shady.

Now, Danielle is seeing Provenzano back in the news thanks to his breakup. While he never shied away from having connections to the Mob, he has now been ordered by the court to pay $222,978 in damages to his ex-girlfriend, according to Page Six. Bravo fans will recall that he chummed around as Staub’s bodyguard against the other women of season 1. He was always right next to her during outrageous incidents, including the North Jersey Country Club brawl that broke out at the Posche fashion show.

He and his on-again-off-again girlfriend got into a serious altercation back in 2018 (some housewives have been arrested too), while at her Midtown apartment. The fight was said to be over money she claimed she loaned him to help with his film, “Wiseguys and Whackjobs.” The police report said that Provenzano threw her down to the ground and slammed a door on her limb. According to court documents, Provenzano threatened her life and assaulted her. The Mob associate never replied to the lawsuit, and in October of 2020, judge Edgaro Ramos issued a default judgment, ordering him to pay compensatory and punitive damages. While the bodyguard did try to appeal the ruling, it was dismissed.

His connections go back to the Genovese crime family, as he is the nephew of Anthony “Tony Pro” Provenzano, who was the captain of the crime family. He served four years behind bars on racketeering charges in 2003, after it was alleged that he beat up and extorted money from the family’s “business associates.” Bravo fans always knew that Staub and Provenzano were bad news. When Staub (who was evicted in August 2020) announced that she would be retiring from the Real Housewives franchise, fans were more than happy to see her go.
