The Real Housewives franchise focuses on affluent and attractive women who go on lavish vacations, host dramatic dinners, celebrate holidays at themed parties, give fans their thoughts through confessional, and wrap up each season at reunions. Therefore, there have been tons of stylish outfits over the years.
These 10 looks are some of the most iconic ones ever worn on these television shows. From elegant gowns and wild costumes to certain prints and brands that stand out. Even after all of this time, it would be hard to forget these clothes and accessories. For better or for worse, they live on in housewives history.
Kenya’s Gone With The Wind Fabulous Dress
A very notable moment from The Real Housewives Of Atlanta involved Kenya Moore saying she was gone with the wind fabulous. While saying this over and over, she twirled around in this memorable dress.
This tagline is a famous one from this franchise, and this dress was even put on display last year at the first-ever BravoCon! There was a museum of notable items from these series, including this exact dress.
Teresa’s Green Reunion Dress
Over the years, the reunions have gotten more and more elevated, as the cast members now shop up in full-on evening gowns. While everyone has had their favorite and least favorite looks, this particular dress surely stands out to many. It was a green, shimmery dess that was worn by Teresa Giudice from The Real Housewives Of New Jersey. Some people made comments that she looked like a Christmas decoration or a pageant contestant, while others thought it was beautiful, when paired with her dark complexion and hair.
Jennifer’s Sorry Not Sorry Tee
Also in New Jersey, there was a humorous T-shirt worn recently by Jennifer Aydin, and it popped up due to a comment made by Jackie Goldschneider; she told Jennifer, in a joking way, to just get a shirt that said “I’m sorry”. And since Jen has been known to push the envelope, take things too far and always say (or wear) what’s on her mind, she showed up to lunch in this tee.
This is definitely one way to make a statement and one way to NOT apologize.
Lisa Rinna As Erika Jayne
Of course, the list could go on and on, when it comes to iconic clothes worn by Erika Jayne, the singer persona of Erika Girardi from The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. What may stand out even more to people, though, was when Lisa Rinna dressed up as her co-star!
The hair, the glasses, the oversized shirt paired with over-the-knee boots, the attitude… It was a spot-on impersonation.
LeeAnne As Stephanie
On a similar note, in Dallas, LeeAnne Locken showed up to a party dressed as Stephanie Hollman once; she had a two-face-inspired look, that was half good/pretty and half bad/mean… which was a total dig at her co-star. No matter whose side viewers were on, this is another outfit that is hard to forget.
Brandi’s Poop Hat
The Real Housewives Of Dallas also gave the world an interesting accessory: Brandi Redmond’s poop hat! Her humor has gotten her into trouble before, and there were many who were not okay with this look.
As it sounds, it was a big hat, and everyone else was wearing something similar at the event… except that hers had little pieces of fake poo on it, which she used to play pranks on people.
Vicki’s Bunco Look From The ‘80s
This franchise is full of themed parties, such as the night of bunco on The Real Housewives Of Orange County, which called for guests to dress in 1980s-inspired outfits. There were the usual leg warmers and pops of neon, but Vicki Gunvalson’s fit seemed to really stand out, since she was yelling a bunch that night.
There are always fights, and it is hard to take anyone seriously with hair like that!
All The Animal Print
If there were an official print of The Real Housewives, it would be animal print. These ladies love it! From luxurious dresses and trendy jumpsuits to casual blouses and funky sweaters, it has been seen in every city, in a variety of ways and on so many wives throughout the years. It does make dressing up as them easier, so that is good for fans.
Halloween Costumes In New York
When Halloween rolled around on The Real Housewives Of New York one year, there were some super notable costumes: Bethenny was Barbie, Ramona was Britney Spears, Carole was Amelia Earhart, Tinsley Mortimer was Madonna, Sonja was Lucille Ball, Dorinda (not pictured) was Lady Gaga, and then Luann was Diana Ross (complete with a darkened face... Yikes).
And, Of Course, Sky Tops
Last but not least, when it comes to memorable clothing items from these women and these TV shows, sky tops have to be mentioned. Their gemstone colors, their gaudy detailing, and their presence on early episodes of The Real Housewives Of Orange County can’t be forgotten!
