Reality television and The Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen is seemingly enjoying spending time with her rumored boyfriend, Marcus Jordan, but there are enough reasons to believe that a relationship between the duo won't bode well for her. Larsa tied the knot with former NBA and Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen in 1997, and shares four kids, Scotty Jr., 22, Preston, 21, Justin, 18, and Sophia, 14, with him. The former lovebirds enjoyed a great marriage, but split in 2015. However, they reunited two years later before separating again in 2018. The former couple separated for good in 2021, finalizing their divorce in December of that year.
Since finalizing her divorce from Scottie, The Real Housewives of Miami's Larsa Pippen has found it hard to date other men. In August 2022, she admitted that was the case because she compared other men to her ex-husband. However, the reality TV star has recently found herself in the news because of her rumored relationship with Marcus. Larsa and the 32-year-old son of Scottie's former Chicago Bulls teammate and NBA legend, Michael Jordan, were photographed looking cozy at various outings, leading to suggestions that they were an item. However, she denied they were dating, and insisted they were just close friends and had been so for the last couple of years. Still, recent pictures of the duo showed there could be more between them.
RHOM's Larsa & Marcus' Relationship May Fail Due To Scottie & Michael Jordan's Feud
On January 8, Page Six obtained pictures of Larsa and Marcus outside the W Hotel in South Beach, Miami, after a date night. The pair rocked casual outfits and couldn't get their hands off each other, even going ahead to lock lips. Two weeks later, Larsa made the relationship Instagram official. Those pictures showed they could be more than friends and have a deeper connection. However, a relationship with Marcus won't bode well for Larsa, given her ex-husband's relationship with his father. Although Michael and Scottie worked well as teammates, their present-day relationship isn't so great, after Scottie called Michael out following the release of the docuseries, The Last Dance.
RHOM's Larsa Dating Marcus Could Affect Her Relationship With Scottie
In addition to Michael and Scottie's fractured relationship, Larsa dating Marcus could negatively affect her co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband. Larsa and Scottie co-parent their teenage daughter, Sophia, and have a good relationship following their divorce. However, if she dates Marcus, a much younger man, Scottie could be put off by such a development and may want to avoid interacting with her. Sophia would be the most affected if this happens, and Larsa wouldn't want that. It could be for that reason that she waited to officially announce that she and Marcus are an item, as she didn't want to complicate her amicable relationship with Scottie.
A Non-Exclusive Relationship Wouldn't Be Ideal For RHOM's Larsa
Another reason for Larsa to avoid a relationship with Marcus is that it is probably non-exclusive. After Marcus was captured kissing another woman in November, an insider revealed that he and Larsa were not exclusively together, but getting to know each other. At the time, this meant that Marcus and Larsa could have been friends with benefits, and just enjoying each other's time and attention while it lasts. However, The Real Housewives of Miami star should figure out if such an arrangement is ideal for her if this is the case. Having been married before for 23 years, Larsa should probably avoid engaging in a relationship like this, especially with all its complications. However, the mother of four knows what's best for her, and must have considered all of these factors before going ahead. Only time will tell if she should not have done so.
