The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards is urging her sister and former co-star, Kim, to seek mental health treatment. Her older sibling has struggled with issues around addiction and mental illness in the past.

Kyle and Kim, former child actors, appeared together on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 1 in 2010, when viewers were first introduced to Kim's issues with alcohol and drug abuse. Fans watched as her addiction worsened, before she ended up leaving the show in 2015, after five seasons. Since appearing on the reality series, Kim has been in and out of treatment for addiction, but seemed to be doing better recently. From the outside, it appeared she was embracing her sobriety and life as a new grandmother. While she seemed to be on the up-and-up, her sister Kyle recently grew concerned for her mental health.

Sources close to Kyle told Us Weekly that the reality star became aware Kim "was struggling in recent weeksand grew concerned. All Kyle knows, according to the insider, is that Kim "isn't well;" however she's not sure what, exactly, is wrong with her. She's urging her sister to seek treatment for mental illness. The insider added that the problems are more mental health-related than "sobriety issues." While the two sisters have been living separate lives, the source said, they're still on good terms, so hopefully Kyle will be able to get through to her. Take a look at the Richards sisters from Kim's Instagram below:

The source explained that Kyle and Kim are having an "ongoing conversation" about Kim going to treatment, adding that the good news is Kim has been "receptive" and is aware Kyle is coming from "a place of love." They added that while these conversations haven't been successful yet, Kyle "isn't giving up" and will continue to be there for her sister during this difficult time. Meanwhile, Kim's been noticeably absent from social media the past two months, but followers continue to show their support for the former reality star in the comments.

For longtime fans of the show, it's heartbreaking to see Kim continue to struggle with mental health and addiction issues. She's managed to work through them in the past with the love and support of her family, so it's nice to hear that they're coming to her side again now. Hopefully, she can find the help she needs and a treatment program that works for her.
