Star of The Real Housewives of Orange County Kelly Dodd is engaged to Fox News anchor Rick Leventhal. The newly engaged couple celebrated while Kelly was visiting New York City and captured the moment he put a ring on it.
The women of the Orange County housewives have always been known for their outrageous fights and often public battles, most of which include Dodd in the center of them. Regardless of her sometimes mean girl persona that is portrayed on the show, she was still a woman who was looking for her prince charming after recently broking up with her plastic surgeon boyfriend, Brian Reagan. However, it seems Dodd finally found the one after being introduced to Rick by Ramona Singer at a party in the Hamptons. The couple, who have only been dating only for a couple of months, announced their engagement to fans.
According to People, Dodd revealed that she was engaged to Rick and that she couldn't be happier. She gushed about her fiancé, saying, "Rick is my best friend. My partner in crime. I’m so in love. I can’t believe this happened to me. I feel like I just won the lottery." She also let fans in on the moment when Rick popped the question. She revealed that while the two were in New York City for the first annual BravoCon, he asked her to be his wife. She recalled, "He said this amazing speech about our love and then got down on one knee and pulled out this giant ring." Dodd explained that the whole proposal was much to her surprise, saying, "I couldn't believe it!" However, Rick revealed that he feels like he just won the lottery as well, saying, "I feel like the luckiest guy on earth." The mother of one posted a picture of her and her fiancé smiling as she showed off her massive rock on her left hand. She captioned the post, "I can’t believe I just got engaged !!" She tagged her soon-to-be-husband, writing, "[Rick] you are my Prince and my dream come true!!!" The Bravo personality said that they are looking at an October 2020 wedding date. Dodd first told her fans of her fiancé back in September when she posted a comment to a fan on Instagram saying the two were not yet engaged and just seeing where life took them.
Dodd originally made the trip to New York City for BravoCon, will now be leaving the Big Apple as an engaged woman. The California native showed off plenty of romantic Instagram Stories including a fire pit, wine and plenty of pictures of her enormous diamond engagement ring. Fingers are crossed that the wedding will be filmed for the next season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
