Since joining The Real Housewives of Orange County, Kelly Dodd has had a number of dramatic and controversial moments. Viewers met Kelly for the first time when she joined the reality series for season 10. During her first season, Kelly famously feuded with Heather Dubrow, who even left the series as she could no longer be around Kelly. Despite staying on for another five seasons, Kelly had become one of the most disliked housewives in history.

Fans started to become tired of Kelly and her antics both on and off-screen before she was fired from RHOC earlier this year. While Kelly has never been one to conform to the rules, her conservative side really came in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Viewers began to realize they could no longer support someone who was seemingly quite selfish during a very difficult time in the world.

Taking Bets On Meghan King's Marriage

Meghan King and Cuffe Owens

After her former RHOC costar Meghan King announced she and her husband of two months Cuffe Biden Owens had split, Kelly took this as an opportunity to poke fun at her. During a recent interview with Page Six, Kelly and her husband Rick Leventhal, predicted the marriage wouldn't last as their relationship was so new and their engagement didn't last very long. Since the pair didn't think Meghan and Cuffe would last more than a year, they decided to start a contest with their Rick & Kelly Unmasked Podcast listeners. The couple claims they were only being "realistic" and wish Meghan nothing but the best on her journey to find love.

Slamming RHOC Season 16 Ratings

After the ratings for RHOC season 16 became public, Kelly tweeted about how the ratings for the new season have declined since she was fired. "Wait, wasn’t I the ratings problem ? Wasn’t there a boycott ??" Kelly began her tweet. She added how last season had over a million viewers for 14 out of 16 weeks, with the new season having yet to meet a million viewers per episode. Andy Cohen immediately replied back, telling Kelly that the numbers they measure are "the delayed numbers, not live" ones.

Her Controversial Thoughts On The COVID-19 Pandemic

When COVID-19 took over the world in March 2020, causing everyone to do into lockdown, Kelly had a few uninformative things to say about the contagious virus. She said COVID-19 was "God's way of thinning the herd" in April 2020 and even boasted about not having to wear a mask indoors in a public place. Kelly even started a podcast with her husband, where the pair has spoken about only getting the vaccine to travel, with Kelly claiming she now regrets ever getting the shot.

While Kelly has always been controversial, the past year has really shown her true colors. Despite the criticism, the former reality star doesn't back down and continues to speak her mind no matter the consequences.
