As COVID-19 continues to dominate the lives of nearly everyone, Jim Edmonds, ex-husband of Real Housewives Of Orange County alum Meghan King Edmonds, said his year is ending better than he anticipated.
After five years of marriage, Jim filed for divorce from third-wife Meghan, in October 2019. Their divorce turned contentious after Meghan alleged Jim cheated on her with their children’s nanny. Both the nanny and Jim denied any extra-marital indiscretions. This year, custody issues heated up. And in November, Jim’s adult daughter from his first marriage, Hayley, voiced her displeasure with Meghan’s COVID-19 positive test, after learning Meghan was out on the town in Miami. In a Christmas Eve family photo, Us Weekly reported that Jim wrote alongside the image, “This year started rough and I couldn’t imagine a better ending to a challenging year on many levels. I couldn’t be more proud and appreciative of what I have in my life. Truly am blessed! Merry Christmas from my family to yours.” After rumors of a relationship between Jim and Kortnie surfaced in early 2020, Jim confirmed his relationship with the 35-year-old, in April. In late June, Kortnie threw Jim a 50th birthday party at his home. Kortnie also is the woman Meghan alleged had a threesome with her and Jim, early in their marriage. On an episode of Meghan’s Intimate Knowledge podcast that aired on January 20, Meghan addressed the issue. “This girl who I thought was my friend. I cast aside my uncomfortability [sic] with a threesome, everything I had in my head about a threesome being weird and gross, because I was fun and wanted to do things for my husband.”
More recently, Jim complained that when Meghan moved out of their former home, she left it in disarray. Jim, who is selling the property, voiced his displeasure with the home’s condition, in a video posted to his Instagram, December 10. “Not used to this landlord stuff here. I didn’t realize that someone would leave a house this dirty and messy. I have four people in here throwing trash away that was just left behind.” Meghan, who broke up with her boyfriend, Christian Schauf, last month has since moved into a new abode, with her children.
In a statement to Us, she responded to Jim’s housekeeping accusations, and stated, “I’m going through an emotionally heavy transition, and I’m choosing to only look for the positive because the negative is too much for me to take on right now. I’m very excited to be in my new home with my children!” As she and Jim transition to a new place in their relationship, let’s hope the move comes with a peaceful existence co-parenting.
