Margaret Josephs opened up about her current relationship with her stepchildren, after being very open about her strained relationship with them on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Margaret has been a fan favorite since her first appearance on the show in season 8. In the past few seasons, Margaret found herself in the middle of a feud with her former friend, fellow cast member Danielle Staub. Their feud began when Danielle threw jabs at Margaret during her wedding weekend, and escalated when Danielle blamed Margaret for her divorce. It erupted into something that became irreparable when Danielle pulled Margaret's hair from behind, and dragged her across the room after one of their arguments. This led all the other housewives to drop Danielle from the group, even refusing to film with her. She ultimately was fired.
While on the show, Margaret has been very open about her first marriage, and her relationship with her stepchildren. Margaret started her relationship with her current husband while she was still married to her first husband Jan Josephs. When she married Jan, she became a mother to his three young kids, and raised them as her own until her divorce from their father. She has shared in the past that her stepchildren weren't happy with the way she chose to end her relationship with Jan. Margaret understands their reasons for being upset with her, considering she cheated on their father, but still wishes she could've kept her close bond with them. She considers them her kids and has always said she hopes they will come around one day.
Margaret is now giving an update on where her relationship with her stepchildren currently stands, and what she regrets most about her marriage to Jan. During a recent interview with Nicki Swift, Margaret revealed her relationship with her step-children remains a work in progress. Margaret said things have gotten a little better, but there is still room for improvement. Her relationship with her middle stepson she says is a lot better, but things are still not great with her stepdaughter. She attributes the slow progression in her relationship with her stepdaughter, to things that happened with her mother when she was younger, as well as Margaret's affair. Even though she doesn't have as close a relationship with them as she would like, she is happy to know that they all remain close with each other, and are living happy and successful lives. Margaret claims her relationship with her biological son is great and that they are very close.
Margaret also told fans what her biggest regret from her marriage to Jan was. She says she wishes she ended the marriage sooner in order to avoid hurting those she loved the most. In the interview, she claimed she was upset to have hurt her family, but "if you as a person are not happy, you can't make anybody else happy around you." She says she still has love for her ex-husband, and still considers marrying him one of the happiest days of her life. She never planned on getting divorced, but says life happens when it happens, and you just have to go with it.
There has been a lot of talk recently about Margaret's role in the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. It has been teased that Margaret has more than a few blow up fights with cast members, and has even been defriended by Teresa Guidice. What could have possibly led to the end of this friendship? Is Margaret or Teresa to blame for the end of this friendship?
