On The Real Housewivesstars fall into three main categories: housewives, friends, and guests. The housewives are the stars of the show, the friends are those that are close with one or two of the housewives, while guests appear here and there. Both friends and guests of the series feature in most of the storylines but they don't have to show every aspect of their personal lives like the housewives do.

Marlo Hampton is a great example of a friend of the series that made such an impact on the show that she was awarded a peach and bumped to housewife status. While not every friend or guest is worthy of the housewife title, there are a few that would make a great addition to the roster of main characters.

Askale Davis (RHOP)

In the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Askale Davis joined as a friend of Robyn Dixon. While some friends are timid in group settings, Askale jumped right in and wasn't afraid to add her two cents. The difference between Askale and other friends in the series is that although she was outgoing, she was level-headed and respectful. She asked the right kinds of questions and left fans wondering more about her personal life.

After such a good season and a connection to the cast, Bravo should give Askale a peach to see how she does. If her performance as a friend is anything to go by, she could easily become one of the most entertaining housewives on RHOP.

Shamea Morton (RHOA)

Shamea Morton first joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta in season 5 as a guest of Porsha Williams. In season 8, she was promoted to a friend of the series before being demoted to a guest for seasons 9 through 13. Shamea is one of the longest-running friends and guests of the series and as such has made a big impact on viewers.

Fans agreed that Shamea earned her peach after saying things that others wouldn't. However, it looks like Shamea's husband is the one who's hesitant about a full-time role because it could interfere with their personal lives, according to Cheat Sheet.

Kathy Hilton (RHOBH)

After years of her sisters, Kyle and Kim Richards, being a part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kathy Hilton finally joined the series as a friend in season 11. Because of the Richards sister's interesting backstories, fans were dreaming of the day that all three would be on TV.

Kathy Hilton has always been in the public eye and her wealthy lifestyle would make her a fantastic housewife. Fans were hoping Hilton would be a part of season 12, but according to Page Six, it looks like she's holding out for a higher payday before coming back as a friend again.

Faye Resnick (RHOBH)

Faye Resnick was a controversial addition to RHOBH. Due to her relationship to the OJ Simpson case, not everyone in Beverly Hills was fond of her, but that didn't stop Kyle Richards from being her best friend. The two have a decades-long relationship and fans sympathized with Kyle's protectiveness over the friendship.

Due to Resnick's friendship with Kyle, she was a guest for the first two seasons before signing on as a friend. After season 3, she's returned as a guest on and off for years. And while Resnick is controversial, that's exactly the reason why she would make a great full-time housewife on the show.

Tanya Sam (RHOA)

Tanya Sam joined RHOA as a friend of Porsha Williams and was a part of the series for three seasons. Tanya set herself apart from the rest of the ladies by being happy-go-lucky and perky in most scenes. With so much drama in the seasons Tanya was part of, she was a breath of fresh air for many viewers and was one of the more likable RHOA cast members.

Sadly, after season 13, Tanya abruptly left the series. According to Looper, she made her departure after rumors began circulating about her cheating on her fiance with a male stripper at a cast party. Tanya denied the allegations but other housewives like Kenya Moore are certain about the rumors. Nevertheless, fans miss Tanya's energy and wish she'd come back for her well-deserved peach.

Elyse Slaine (RHONY)

Elyse Slaine joined the series as a guest of Ramona's in season 9 of Real Housewives of New York. However, in season 12, she was given a promotion and added as a friend. Elyse didn't get a great introduction to the group but she did join the women on some cast getaways.

At the start, Elyse and Ramona were longtime friends. Elyse even helped Ramona's daughter get a job on Wall Street. By the end of the season, however, Elyse and Ramona's friendship fell apart. It's because of their broken friendship that Elyse should be given the apple. Perhaps she's the only person that could be added to the cast to bring Ramona back down to Earth and humble her after a horrible season 13. In any case, the inclusion of Elyse as a housewife would surely help to deliver more gripping drama-filled RHONY finales.

Rosie Pierri (RHONJ)

One of the things about The Real Housewives of New Jersey that sets it apart from other cities in the franchise is the family connection. Teresa Giudice's sister-in-law, brother, and cousins were all a part of the show. One cousin in particular who would make a great housewife after her time as a friend is Rosie Pierri. Rosie was emotional, hilarious, and had a good relationship with most of the cast. She was by far one of the most entertaining castmates of RHONJ. More importantly, as a lesbian, Rosie would some needed diversity to the currently all-straight cast.
