Eboni K. Williams from The Real Housewives Of New York unpacked her out-of-the-box politics as she prepared to guest host The View. In Eboni's first season on the show, the attorney gave viewers only a glimpse of her political views, and shared her experience as the first Black woman in the cast’s history. In one of the episodes, Eboni hosted a dinner at which she educated the other housewives about famous icons of Harlem. She also introduced them to phrases which made them uncomfortable, like "micro-aggressions" and "white fragility." Ramona Singer, an OG housewife known for her outspokenness, was often confused by Eboni’s message.

After Meghan McCain’s departure from The View, Eboni announced she would be stepping in to guest host. Meghan was a huge fan of the Bravo network, and has commented on Eboni’s scenes in RHONY on several occasions. The former host expressed horror in watching the Black Shabbat dinner, in which Ramona interrupted the ritual to give her opinions. Meghan also discussed other housewives on the franchise, and she recently sided with Erika Jayne concerning her legal battles.

As she prepared to fill Meghan’s old spot, Eboni told HollywoodLife that her politics cannot “be put in a box." She explained how the industry likes to place people in political extremes, either liberal or conservative, and watch as the opposites clash. Eboni, who has registered independent for the last 18 years, believes this is a “dangerous political tactic." The 38-year-old lawyer prefers to be true to her own morality and opinions, regardless of how well she fits into a category.

Eboni also discussed her time at Fox News, working alongside Meghan. According to Eboni’s HollywoodLife interview, Meghan once called the attorney “a lovely sparring partner” in the political arena. Eboni shared that she and Meghan had very different views on many subjects, and Eboni isn’t hosting The View to act as her replacement. The reality star intends to be herself, which is “a different vibe” than Meghan. Although the two women had political disagreements at Fox News, they always shared a mutual respect, professionally. Eboni said she’d be more than willing to join the talk show permanently, alongside her duties on RHONY.

Bravo fans will be interested to see exactly how Eboni unveils her out-of-the-box opinions on The View. Viewers saw only snippets of her beliefs on RHONY, a show which frequently stays away from polarizing political debates (with a few exceptions). But the opinions Eboni expresses on ABC may bleed out onto next season’s drama on The Real Housewives Of New York, especially if Ramona returns.
