The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers learned that Tom Girardi's former law firm received a PPP loan before it filed for bankruptcy. This news only adds fuel to the fire for prosecutors who want to throw the book at the 82- year-old.

It’s not looking great for Tom or Erika at this point. It was recently revealed that the Pretty Mess singer would be testifying against her soon-to-be ex-husband. While both have been named in multiple lawsuits, Erika is making a move to clear her name in exchange for testimony against Tom. The former lawyer was hit with a lawsuit that alleged he frauded clients and did the same to investors and business associates. The Hulu documentary, The Housewife and The Hustler, put the husband and wife’s legal issues front and center, leaving fans to question how much the blonde knew.

Public records show that his law firm was approved for a PPP loan said to be worth $1.5 million. The application was approved only a year before he declared bankruptcy. For those unaware, the Paycheck Protection Program is a $953 billion business loan program established by the United States government in 2020.

Records show that Girardi & Keese were granted a loan for $1,503,000, which was supposed to be used for their payroll. The documents show that there were 84 jobs that needed paying. The government program was meant to help businesses who were struggling due to COVID-19 to help pay their workers’ thanks to the low-interest private loan. Bravo fans may recall that this past December, Robert Keese, who was Tom’s partner, sued him so he could dissolve their business, 1126 Wilshire Partnership.

There has been so much going on with Tom that it is hard to keep up at times. Erika filed for divorce back in November on Election Day in hopes of it being buried in the news. Then in March, documents showed that Tom owed $56.8 million to his law firm. Currently, Erika has moved out of their Pasadena mansion and into a smaller abode. She is also being watched like a hawk on the new season by the lawyers to see if she spills any tea that could help their case.
