Tom Girardi from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the soon-to-be ex-husband of Erika Jayne has found himself in even more trouble, if you can believe it. Recently, some serious allegations came out about the lawyer, stating that he had a method for “seducing” the State Bar.

The State Bar of California, which is supposed to regulate all its lawyers, took no action against the househusband even though there were a hundred times when charges of misconduct had been brought up. The complaints are not new and have been going on since the 1980s, over 30 years of sneaky practices. It was also made known that there had been multiple other lawyers who had the same complaints against them. They were disciplined appropriately, yet Girardi remained untouched.

When Bravo fans heard of the Vegas parties, celebrities, and boozy lunches, their thoughts immediately turned to Erika Jayne, but in fact, The Los Angeles Times reported that it was Tom who had allegedly been caught “seducing” the State Bar of California by wining and dining politicians and higher-ups. It was presented that, for multiple years, the lawyer had allegations brought against him about how he skimmed settlement money from victims, inflated costs of services, and even abandoned clients when they needed him the most. That being said, if you were to look Girardi up, his record appears impeccable. This catastrophic oversight is what lent him the name of a “titan” lawyer and allowed him to be considered one of the best lawyers in the nation.

It was also revealed that after interviews and multiple documents supporting their claim that Girardi had nurtured very close relationships with various bar officials that could be seen as inappropriate. State Bar workers were often invited to his firm’s annual Las Vegas conference, where the lawyer hosted extravagant parties with celebrities. During an internal investigation, the Bar learned that Girardi’s law firm reimbursed the agency after their executive director had violated policy.

The State Bar's dithering allowed Girardi to misrepresent himself and often leave his victims worse off than they were when they first came to him. Even though Girardi has claimed bankruptcy, there will forever be a dark mark on the state of California for allowing these injustices to slip through the cracks. Currently, Erika is filming for the newest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and fans are very much looking forward to seeing where she stands on the matter.
