The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke released an apology after her argument with co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff. The latest episode followed the housewives on a getaway to Lake Tahoe. It concluded with a dramatic disagreement between the two newest cast members. The season 11 trailer teased that this was just the first of many disagreements between the pair.

Stracke joined the hit reality series ahead of season 10 as a friend of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Her undeniable star quality and feud with former housewife Teddi Mellencamp promoted her to a full-time housewife, and Stracke hit the ground running by stirring up a feud with fellow newcomer Kung Minkoff. However, fans disagreed with Stracke’s choice to talk over a woman of color during a conversation about racial stereotypes. Now, Stracke issued an apology on her social media accounts.

The fight erupted while Crystal Kung Minkoff was explaining how racial stereotypes can affect people of color to Beverly Hills OG Kyle Richards. Richards had been previously called out by actress Garcelle Beauvais for potentially stereotyping. “It can be so painful that you can’t see anything else,” said the show’s first Asian housewife. Sutton Stracke interrupted Kung Minkoff and insisted that she did not want to talk about racial stereotypes. “Despite Crystal and my strained relationship at the time, it was disrespectful to interrupt her and not listen to her express her truth,” wrote the boutique owner, “my life is blessed by the diversity of my relationships and I am committed to become a better listener to understand the painful realities experienced by people of color.”

Sutton Stracke insisted that she would turn her mistake into a learning experience“I will do better and be better,” concluded the apology. As of this writing, Crystal Kung Minkoff has not yet responded to Stracke’s apology. Stracke shared her thoughts on southern stereotypes, and Kung Minkoff validated Stracke’s experience. However, Stracke doubled down in the wrong direction, which prompted her co-star to end the episode with a chilling question: “Are you one of those people that you don’t see color?” The episode immediately ended.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 11 premiered to mass fan applause. The feud between Stracke and Kung Minkoff was the season’s first big dramatic moment, but it will certainly not be the last. Fans expect the show to dive into the scandals involving Erika Girardi and her husband Tom. Stracke and Kung Minkoff are also expected to stay on each other’s toes.
