Lisa Vanderpump called out her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmates for staying silent in light of Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s legal troubles. Jayne, a 49-year-old Georgia native, married the famed Erin Brokovich lawyer, 82, in 2000. After two decades of marriage, Jayne filed for divorce in November of 2020 when it was revealed that Girardi allegedly embezzled millions of dollars from settlement victims his firm represented, including individuals who were orphaned or widowed following the 2018 Lion Air plane crash in Indonesia.

In 2019, Vanderpump, often nicknamed LVP, exited the long-running franchise installment after starring on the show since its inaugural season. Season 9 largely revolved around the 60-year-old restauranteur and her feud with fellow RHOBH star Dorit Kemsley, when it was revealed that the latter had adopted a puppy from titular rescue organization Vanderpump Dogs and later dropped it off at a kill shelter. Vanderpump’s co-stars then accused the London native of manufacturing the controversy to bolster her own image and to help launch a second Vanderpump spin-off. Fans dubbed the season-long fiasco #Puppygate.

Now, fans are pointing out the blatant hypocrisy in the way the group treated the two women. As reported in US Magazine, one user took to Twitter to express their frustration, asking, “Where’s the outrage???? Kyle, Rinna, Dorit, Teddi have vilified Lisa Vanderpump for something she DID NOT DO for 3 yrs by going on talk shows, podcasts, interviews, RHOBH, but when it comes to Erika stealing/withholding funds from victims, spending it on glamor [sp], they’re SILENT!!!The former RHOBH star responded the next day, writing, “It’s unbelievable really.”

Vanderpump has vehemently denied the allegation that she was baiting Dorit to craft a storyline for the show. Regardless, constructing a relatively low-stakes controversy to boost ratings pales in comparison to the alleged crimes committed by Jayne and her estranged octogenarian husband. The controversy surrounding Girardi and his soon-to-be-ex-wife, who is over 30 years his junior, was recently presented in detail in the new ABC News documentary released last week titled The Housewife and The Hustler. Surprisingly, none of the RHOBH star's current castmates have issued an explicit condemnation of Jayne’s potential involvement.

As it stands, it does not appear that the housewife's ongoing legal troubles will impact her diamond-holding status. This season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is slated to reveal even more details about the couple’s downfall and Jayne’s decision to file for divorce. Season 10 of the hit installment is currently airing on Bravo and fans are eager to see how the drama plays out on screen.
