The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards and her husband real estate mogul Mauricio Umansky recently took to Instagram to share highlights of their New Year's trip to Aspen. It seems that Kyle's been on an extended vacation lately. Having recently participated in RHUGT in tropical Turks and Caicos, she was last spotted enjoying the cooler climes of Colorado. The mother of four daughters is well-known for making family time a priority and this year was no different. Kyle has a home in Palm Springs, where she enjoys spending time, but she also loves Aspen and visited the popular tourist destination several times in 2021 to enjoy its beauty both with and without snow.
Kyle, the only remaining original member of the RHOBH cast is experiencing lots of success outside of the franchise recently, having revived her long dormant acting career with a couple of major roles. In Halloween Kills, she plays the adult version of Lindsey Wallace, the character she played as a child in the original film. She also nabbed a co-starring role in Peacock's holiday offering, The Housewives Of The North Pole. With her youngest daughter now a teenager, Kyle has been able to incorporate more acting gigs into her already busy life. She's also slated to appear in the final installment of the Halloween series this year.
For many celebrities, spending time in Aspen over the winter holidays is a given. Often seen roaming around the star-studded enclave with their dog, Storm, the family enjoys all the luxuries that the exclusive destination has to offer. Bravotv.com reports that Mauricio took some time on this trip to document an activity he says has become an annual tradition - hiking the Aspen Highlands. Aspen Highlands is one of the resort community's four main mountains but one of its least populated ski areas. It's a favorite of the locals and home to a challenging bowl, known for humbling even the best skiers. On the morning of January 2, Mauricio and his daughter Alexia hiked to the top as they made New Year's resolutions before skiing back down.
They hiked along the picturesque vista under sunny blue skies with their skis on their backs. Along the way they took photos of the scenery and made videos as they crunched along in the snow. "So it has become a tradition that we climb Highland Bowl on New Years," he said. Both posted about the hike in their Instagram stories with Mauricio saying "Now we ski down. This is how we make sure we remember our new year resolutions." Mauricio and Alexia posed for a couple of pics at the apex of the mountain looking very proud of their achievement. It was obvious that the time spent together was meaningful for both father and daughter.
In what has obviously become an important ritual, Mauricio and Alexia appeared to truly enjoy the time together on the serene trek. Both posted Instagram stories featuring their adventure. During Kyle's years on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, Mauricio has always exhibited a work hard, play hard attitude and it's great to see him enjoying the fruits of his labor while spending time with his family. Their eldest daughter Farrah (from Kyle's first husband) recently became engaged, so it's likely that the next generation will be joining the family on future vacations. Kyle and Mauricio's daughters will have lots of wonderful family memories to look back on as they become adults.
