Kyle Richard's is going to have another sister with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on their resume. It has been confirmed that Kathy Hilton will be officially joining the show as a "friend of."
Kathy has made guest appearance throughout the series, but was never featured for longer then a short scene. Many fans never thought this would happen as Kathy and Kyle were once at odds when Kyle was producing the one season wonder, American Women, which was loosely based off of their mother. Now it seems the women are on such good terms, Kathy now gets to be a part of RHOBH along side Kyle.
It has been confirmed by Us Weekly that Kathy Hilton is officially joining the cast of RHOBH as a "friend of." Kathy will be joining alongside new full time cast member, Crystal Kung Minkoff as new additions for season 11. For many years Kathy has been shutting down rumors that she will be joining the cast, which her sisters Kim and Kyle Richards both stared in at the beginning. Kathy is not just know for being the half sister to the Richards sisters, but also the mother to famous socialite, Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky. After hearing the rumors last month that she may be joining RHOBH, Kathy took to social media to tell her fans it was something she was considering. A fan left a comment under Kyle's Instagram post about Teddi Mellencamp's departure where the fan suggested Kathy as a new addition. Kathy replied to the fan, “Your very kind. I am thinking?????" This had many people wondering if Kathy will be appearing on the upcoming season. It seems Kathy had decided it was her time to join the housewives.
Kyle had spoken with Andy Cohen about Kathy potentially joining the cast one day on an episode of Watch What Happens Live back in June of 2019. She revealed that having her sister on the should would be amazing, “I’ve had one sister on [Kim]. Why not have another sister on?” she said to the host. “People don’t know this, [but] she’s one of the funniest people there is. She’s a practical joker, and she’s very, very funny.” Her sister, Kim and Kyle, had a very rocky relationship during their time on the show together. Kyle and Kathy had beef a couple of season back over Kyle's scripted TV series, American Woman. She was hoping once Kathy saw the show she would see that it is a fictionalized version of their lives. Luckily, the show was cancelled and all the sisters are clearly great terms.
It will be interesting to see how Kathy and Kyle interact in the upcoming season of RHOBH. Whatever happens, this season is definitely going to be a must watch for housewives fans.
