Teddi Mellencamp is weighing in on her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar Garcelle Beauvais' comment regarding her departure.
Teddi joined the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills a few years ago for season 8. She quickly developed a friendship with RHOBH original cast member, Kyle Richards. The two were often made fun of for their close relationship during this past season. Garcelle contributed to some of those comments made about Teddi and Kyle's relationship. Now Garcelle is weighing in on Teddi's exit and Teddi has responded to her comments.
According to Us Weekly, the former housewife has her thoughts on Garcelle's one word comment regarding her exit. “I didn’t even know [she did that]. Well, I mean our thing at the reunion [could be why]," she said in reference to when Teddi pointed out that Garcelle's comment about Lisa Rinna's daughters eating disorder was a '"low blow". “I mean, here’s the thing: I like Garcelle. I think she’s funny and beautiful and smart. I made a good point at the reunion. So, she’s probably bitter about it. But other than that, I think she’s great, and I think she’s gonna have a lot of success on the show." It seems as though Teddi was not phased by Garcelle's comment. The mother of 3 clearly does not care about the comment, seeing as she has other important issues going on in her life, such as her baby daughter's diagnosis with lambdoid craniosynostosis.
Garcelle may be happy to see Teddi go, but one person who is disappointed she won't be returning is her famous father, John Mellencamp. Teddi said, “He’s, like, ‘Am I not going to be watching anymore?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know, Dad. You’re going to have to make that decision yourself.'" She also mentioned how her famous father became a fan of the Housewives after watching his daughter on the show. Teddi revealed the news of her departure last month after weeks of speculation that she was fired from the series. The accountability coach revealed in an Instagram post that Bravo chose not to renew her contract for season 12. “When I got the news I was sad. It feels like a breakup almost, because you develop such strong relationships with the cast, with the crew, and you get to do incredible things that you probably never get to experience without...the show," she revealed in an Instagram video. Although Teddi might be sad about her exit, she realizes that this will allow her to focus on other aspects of her life such as her business and her children. The former reality star is still in contact with many of the women of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (probably excluding Garcelle) and wants to maintain a relationship with the women she grew so close to.
Its seems as though Garcelle's comment towards Teddi did not bother her in the slightest. While it may have been shady, Teddi has too many other things to think about then a silly comment from a former co-star.
