Amid Erika Girardi's recent divorce announcement, the rumor mill is spinning with speculation on what caused her to split from Thomas Girardi. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star released a statement on Tuesday revealing the breakup. Not too long after that, reports began to surface about alleged cheating on both sides.
Erika and Tom, 81, had been married for 21 years before deciding to call it quits. The singer and reality star met the powerhouse attorney while working as a cocktail waitress in West Hollywood. The Savage X Fenty model revealed in her book that she decided to give her phone number to Tom, and he called her. The two married in 1999 and appeared to be rock solid despite a 33-year age gap and having no children. The couple's age differences were a topic of discussion when she made her inception on RHOBH. Erika, 49, would often defend her marriage and lash out against the negative feedback. Not one to bite her tongue, Erika let it be known that she was not to be labeled a gold digger because she had simply fallen in love with an older man.
However, now that word of their divorce has become public, reports have come to light regarding the former couple's alleged infidelity. On Tuesday, Erika released a statement saying “After much consideration, I have decided to end my marriage to Tom Girardi.” Soon after, the Instagram page Bravo Snark Side began sharing screenshots from Deux Moi that revealed a number of cheating claims against both Erika and Tom. One post claimed that the Bravo star had been living separately from Tom prior to announcing their divorce. “Someone I know told me a few weeks ago that their friend is renting out their home in Hancock Park in L.A. to Erika Jayne," the post read.
"[She] told the house owner she wouldn’t be sleeping there and it would be a home base for her to be close to the other ladies for filming. Now … I don’t believe that reason for the rental!” the source added. Another story showed a text message that accused the "XXPEN$IVE" singer of sleeping with a mystery man “for years” before describing the unknown person as someone in the “business” who fans would recognize. A third story included a photo of Tom with another woman and claimed the lawyer "is a member of my private club in LA and [two New Years Eves] ago he brought a random woman to the party."
The person who wrote the text allegedly "didn’t see any PDA," but it still "felt weird." Someone went on to allege that "they just have an arrangement." While Erika hasn't responded to any rumors surrounding her divorce, she is currently filming for season 11 of RHOBH and fans are sure it will be included in her storyline.
